Mirko Hunger & Klaus Rakete make up Freund der Familie and the duo have called upon a collection of consonants and vowels in RNDM, XDB and Aera to remix "Porentief", the title track from their last EP. The 10" remix package sees RNDM take up the A-side with a live and raw sounding rework, yet it's similarly poised and crafted. Aera's Skindeep dub sees and emotionally charged synth line wriggle like a worm throughout its arrangement, meeting keys that rise and fall with wavering fragments of pitch that shimmer and fray. Greek deep house producer XDB's statically charged reshape moves with penetrating force, aided by skittering percussion that scratches at a stark ambience of chord echoes and tense atmospheres.
