Review: Utter plunges into the shadows for their long-awaited 13th release, offering a limited double LP from the notorious electro conjurer Labyrinthine. Titled 'II-V', the record summons 11 sinister tracks, cut at 45rpm on striking deep red vinyl. Encased in haunting artwork by Alison Flora, painted in her own blood, this release is not for the weak-willed. The dark, twisted soundscapes are known to mesmerize and overpower even the strongest minds, making 'II-V' an unsettling journey into the abyss. Approach with cautionithis is a descent into pure sonic madness.

Review: SuperEverything is a wonderful audio-visual project by multi-media artists The Light Surgeons. It takes the form of a live cinema performance pice which "explores identity, ritual and place in relation to Malaysia's past, present and future." It was commissioned in 2011 by the British Arts Council and was made with Malaysian audio and visual artists. It has since toured all over various well regarded arts festivals around the world and melts field recordings, documentary film making and music. The nine original tracks that make up the score are all pressed to vinyl here for the first time.

Review: Nobody ever comes out and says "you have to spend three days living in a yurt in the Welsh wilderness to make a good album", but clearly the move can help your efforts. Just add some analogue and digital synths, and a thought process in line with that of Lucie st?pankova (AKA Avsluta) and Christian Duka, here working together for the first time under the name Vadin.

What a murky world they lure us into. From the chilling opening moments on 'The Seven Laws', all moorland whispers in the digital mist, through the warbling sci-fi consoles of 'Merging' and the tribalistic ritualism that seems to drive 'Sufi Trance', it's as wild as the conditions it was made in, and as transcendent as that experience will have been for the pair involved.
