Velvet Velour is behind the music and the opener 'Can You Feel It' is a superbly colourful house cut with futuristic neon lines and serene grooves. 'First Filter' keeps up the freshness with more vivid synth colours, balmy cosmic chords and silky drum programming and 'Cloud Beats' then gets more off-grid with its drums. Review: Better-known in the Motor City as DJ Gusto, August Williams makes his bow on Detroit's original techno imprint, Juan Atkins' much-loved Metroplex. He first offers up 'The Hook Up', a relaxed electro workout marked out by hip-hop tempo beats, sparkling synthesiser arpeggio lines and gorgeous electronic melodies, before opting for a more hypnotic, dark, clandestine and minimalistic techno sound on superb machine jam 'Dark T'. Williams successfully blurs the boundaries between late-night deep house and sci-fi techno on 'Pushback', while 'Submission' pairs a vintage Motor City techno style groove with discordant, mind-mangling motifs.

Review: Dubtil has only very recently launched his own superb new label Infrequent. He did so with a top new EP but has clearly been hard at work in the studio because this outing on Ruere is another doozy. It comes on nice spattered vinyl and has four untitled tunes. The first is a warm one with pads swirling round to bring colour to the tech beats, then the second has a more urgent mission through the cosmos with its wispy pads and tight, twanging bass and prickly drums. On the flip is the more stripped back and minimal roller of track three and then the compelling rubbery rhythms and futuristic pad work of the final cut.

Review: Munir Nadir has been breaking through in the past few years with essential releases on 4Plae, Nuts On Board and Outcast Planet. Now he's minting a new label called Odd One Tape out of Italy, and bringing his playful, synth-rich sound with him. There's a nod to Italo and 80s electro in the sampling and throbbing, analogue groove of 'Rhythmistic', while 'Bass Jam' tips more towards the early 00s electro house boom a la Tiefschwarz and Tomas Andersson. 'Urban Whispers' has a more jackin' flavour with some low down sub freakiness thrown in for good measure, and 'Binary Technologies' brings the heat on the B2 with a powerful arpeggio and hard-slapping drums.

Review: Not to be confused with Stefan Robbers' early alias, this Florence 12"series reaches back to 2013 amidst a string of low key club cuts with an emphasis on quality and originality. On the 14th in the series, we lead in with the snappy, mellow electro tones of 'Modmood' with its poppy vocal hooks in the midst of the 808 jamming. 'Crazy' offers another strong singalong moment as we get snatches of a Beyonce classic set to a brooding electronic backdrop. Review: RFXN kicks off life with a new single from David Agrella which has seen early support from Ricardo Villalobos. First off he offers up his own Acid Mix of 'Perro Balearico' and it's a supple, deep and dubby track with liquid synths and prog chords that sound both retro and future all at once. The original is a more dreamy and spaced-out sound for 5 am sessions. On the flip is a more punch but still silky and warmly melodic remix from Mario Liberti before last of all, Gabriel Rai gets darker. His drums hit harder and the synths are moodier as he takes dancers down a late-night path of mystery and intrigue.

Review: The small but already well-formed Flo label out of France welcomes two homebodies in Janet and Miroloja to come together on this sublime two tracker. It is a heady mix of techno styles starting with the adventure that is 'Comex'. This one rides on snappy drums and snare petters, with acid lines gurgling away up top next to twitchy stabs that keep the vibes alive. 'Yaw' takes a different approach - it's a more fair-sighted and introspective affair with balmy pads circling around the smooth grooves. Two timeless grooves for different moments in the night.

Review: Since the early noughts, York-based producer Martin Wheeler has had a somewhat prolific output, exploring various genres. Heading up the Iwari label, Wheeler's career defining album as Vector Lovers was signed by British label Soma in 2005 titled Capsule for One which led to the first great revival of 90s IDM. This reissue on Barcelona's Lapsus imprint features all the tracks from the original release (Wheeler actually remixed each and every song for this release) plus two previously unreleased tracks. Traversing such styles as electro, techno, minimal and ambient, this extra special release comes in a double marbled vinyl and a limited edition insert print, featuring artwork redesigned by Josep Basora.

Review: The next entry in Tresydos' tenth release series features another four sterling slices of contemporary minimal tech house trance fusions, leading in with B Love's 'Video Soul', which samples a television interview with legendary talk box funker Roger Troutman. Arnic follows that with the brooding synth construction of 'I'm Into You' before Neik's 'New Age' cools things down with a rolling, warm-up-friendly groove. Review: Tooney Lunes are back with more of their characterful underground cuts, this time from Looney Tunes's Marvin the Martian, an alien race character who brings the occult funk to these grooves. 'Track 1' is all slapping drum funk and crisp hits, then 'Track 2' spins out on molten acid gurgles and another snappy tech house groove. 'Track 3' is a brilliant mix of classic r&b samples with a chugging bassline and splashy electro-tech drums. Last of all is 'Track 4,' another begging mix of r&b vocals and dark garage tech, the squelchy acid lines appearing once more to make for something both soulful yet edgy.

Review: Caterinca out of Romania is one of those already white-hot labels that minimal and tech fans love. Each of their first three drops has sold out instantly and now the fourth looks - or sounds - likely to follow. It is the eponymous production outfit that once again take charge here across two fresh cuts. 'Yoghin, Yogout' has a pent-up electro style groove built on shiny metal breakbeats with synths and vocal chops darting in and out. It's lively to say the least while 'Jay The Anonymous Dealer' gets a little deeper, with smeared pads adding scale to another fractious broken rhythm.

Review: Portuguese electronic artist Pedro Goya lends his latest and best efforts to French label YoY - a sublabel of the Yoyaku family - for a textured sway through dreamy minimal house and elegant acid progressions. Review: To deliver their third release since debuting in 2018, from the less-than-prolific DXL Records has recruited Pressure Point, a producer who received plenty of praise for his earlier singles on Sol Asylum, Telharmonic Texture and All On Tape. The Wrong System EP is a quietly impressive return to form, with the little-known producer smoothly moving between intergalactic tech-house funk (the leaping, sci-fi sounds, shuffling drums and bubbly melodies of 'Timepiece'), mind-altering tech-house box jams (see 'Wrong Systems', with its chiming lead lines and hypnotic vibe), and tech-tinged deep house goodness ('Tom Cat'). The accompanying 'Spacetravel Mix' of 'Tom Cat' is also rather good, in part because it features what sounds like a broken modem having a meltdown over bustling machine drums, foreboding bass and soft-touch chords.

Review: Venda brings a deft touch to this new EP on French label Perceive which is now approaching its tenth release. In that time it has excelled at serving up tasteful minimal sounds of which we have more here. 'No Visitors' kicks off with bubbling bass and delicate wispy melodies that make for a dreamy late night vibe. 'Out Of Range' is a deep and dubby cut with phased effects and nice undulation in the rhythm while 'Claire' is a little more abstract and heads down for the afters. 'Sun' completes the quartet with a streamlined minimal tech sound.

Review: Anyone of a certain age will hear 'Rickie' and think 'Biancaaaa' and there is certainly an East-end of London/Fuse/93 Feet East vibe to these tech house gems on Overground. 'All Of Us Catch Hell' is dubby, deft, subtle in its slinky and infectious grooves as it reminds of early Craig Richards and Tyrant work. 'Realization' then gets loose on a nice spangled bassline and off-balance drums that keep you on your toes while 'Inner Odyssey' has a nice tripped-out vibe and mellifluous keys that rain down from above. 'Peace' closes with some superb 909 drum action and plenty of cosmic rays of colour.

Review: Cesare Vs Disorder aka Cesare Marchese joins the ever-growing Raw family with an EP that shows off his studio mastery across four varied cuts. 'All One' (feat Kevin Knapp) is a fleshy minimal house cut with silky rhythms and lots of machine funk. 'Leo' then flips the script with old school breaks and rave tinged vocals for spine-tingling peak time action. 'You & I' drops into a dark and garage-tinged house groove that shuffles and wiggles under well treated vocals. 'Robot Backpack' shuts down with maybe the best of the lot - cyborg electro funk with dry hits and irresistible bass.

Review: You can never stop good music from making it out into the world and so it is that new label Secret Keeper from Ukraine makes its bow here despite what is going on back home. Luschn steps up for the first EP and sets a high standard with it from the off. 'Track 1' is tech with a menacing undercurrent and an undulating rhythm while 'Track 2' gets a little more loose in its loops. The mood switches on the b-side, where disco-tech comes to the fore and some deft melodies bring a cosmic feel to 'Track 3'. Last of all, 'Track 4' is nice and dry, stripped back and whacked out tech from another planet.

Review: Southern Magic is a sub-label of Secret Society Chile, but there is nothing submissive about the sounds of this new various artists 12". Valerio Vaudano soundtracks the end of the party with a big house bouncer full of vamping chord energy and euphoric little vocal stabs that cannot fail to send people home happy. Luca Piermattei then welcomes you to the after party with scuffed up and frazzled deep house drums under mind melting synth modulations on 'Quilmes.' Flip it over for VICARI's fizzing but feel good tech house on 'Residual Bitterness' and Lootbeg's brilliantly futuristic 'Transitions,' which is alive with alien lifeforms and a crispy tech beat.

Review: Harrison BDP is in playful form on his latest release, which sees the long-serving deep house producer don a new alias: Parrish Bond, a 'tache-sporting secret agent turned crate digger whose Hollywood-worthy missions leave him "no time to dig". Silly set-up aside, the music on show is top-drawer, particularly opener 'Always Take The Stairs', a kind of tribute to Guerilla-era British progressive house piled high with short, tight acid lines, deep organ bass, manipulated choral vocal samples. chunky beats and waves of electronic melodies. He reaches for the TB-303 once more on the more hypnotic and ghostly 'FickleB', before going all exotic, twisted and hazy on the undulating bass, bubbly acid motifs and interlocking melodies of 'I Prefer It May Way'. The name's Bond, Parrish Bond and he's licensed to thrill!

Review: There is plenty of psychedelic colour to this latest EP from the Spanish Baffling Noise label. It appears to be the first release from Numbat who has a love of long, winding, slow-motion synth patterns that weave their way in and out of deep, dubby, stylish drums. That is certainly the case on 'Southern Exposure' (Hybrid Man remix) while 'Amalgamate' is leggy house music with happy melodies and 'E-Break' then heads off through the cosmos on solar winds, trippy melodies and warm drums. 'Southern Exposure' is a chubby, dubby, sludgy techno head wrecker in its original form.

Review: Daniela La Luz is no stranger to Rawax's stable of labels - she's previously released on most of them at different points over the last decade- though Global Transformation marks the first time she's appeared on any of them as Vanilla. The Berlin-based artist sets her stall out with the raw, punchy and occasionally sparkling title track - all woozy keyboard riffs, weighty electro-meets-house beats, tipsy chords and heavy bass - before opting for a deep, druggy, acid-fired and percussively propulsive vibe on 'The Last Window of Time'. Elsewhere, 'Animal Queendom' sees her wrap echoing, dubbed-out and reverb-laden synth riffs around a tough and locked-in beat, while 'All Together' is built around the twin attractions of sturdy, slightly off-kilter machine drums and jazzy electric piano motifs.
