Der Mann Mit Der Maschine X7 MIDI & USB Droid Master Expander Module
Cat: 865060 Rel: 07 Jun 22

The X7 gives you USB and MIDI connectivity for your master and also four gate outputs with modular levels.
Notes: Welcome to the DROID X7 expander. The X7 gives you USB and MIDI connectivity for your master and also four gate outputs with modular levels.

You can process incoming and generate outgoing MIDI streams, both via classical DIN cables and via USB. Both the in and the out direction support polyphony with eight or even more voices in parallel.

For size reasons the X7 uses 3.5 mm TRS jacks for MIDI instead of the classical DIN jacks. But it comes with two DIN to TRS adapters, so you are free to use either form factor.

As a bonus feature, the X7 provides super fast loading of DROID patches via USB - without any need for putting the SD card in and out anymore.

Here are some examples of what you can do with the X7:

Attach an external keyboard to your modular.
Use an external hardware sequencer for playing melodies and beats in your modular.
Use an external MIDI controller to influence your DROID patch.
Do the same with a MIDI controller app on your tablet or phone (via USB).
Use your modular for playing polyphonic music and beats on your hardware synths or software synth plugins in your DAW, tablet or phone.
Connect two DROIDs (both with X7) and exchange real time CVs and triggers.
Use the four additional gate outputs on the X7 for sending clocks, gates and triggers and free your valuable CV outputs for other things.
Access the SD card in your master just like a USB stick for direct access to it via your PC, Mac, phone or tablet.
Alternatively load new patches to your master via MIDI sysex from your PC - and get your new patch ideas up and running in less than a second.

Metabolic Devices Moonwalker Phase Variable Attack Decay Generator Module
Metabolic Devices Moonwalker Phase Variable Attack Decay Generator Module (envelope generator/LFO/oscillator synth module)
Cat: 851311 Rel: 14 Mar 22

A phase variable attack decay generator module.
Notes: Moonwalker is a versatile signal generator that performs as an envelope, lfo, and audio oscillator, with attack and decay time controls

Phase offset is continuously variable from 0 to 360° and inverts the waveform without changing it’s amplitude, and with or without changing it's polarity.

Unipolar mode preserves the output range by offsetting the starting voltage, so it always stays between 0 and +10v

Bipolar mode preserves the starting voltage by offsetting the output range, so it always starts at 0v. The output range will shift from +unipolar, through +bipolar, to -unipolar, through -bipolar back to +unipolar.

The reference waveform does not change phase, but the timing of the rate change between Attack and Decay shift with the phase offset, to ensure synchronous movement.

The phase offset output is half-normalled to the phase offset cv input and skews the waveform from triangle to saw or ramp without changing frequency (when attack = decay).

Serge Variable Bandwidth Filter (VCF2) Module
Cat: 851485 Rel: 16 Nov 21

Variable bandwidth bandpass filter module - 18HP
Notes: From one of the most iconic names in modular synthesis, the Variable Bandwidth Filter is a unique design, combining two state-variable VCFs with extensive CV control for clean, versatile filtering.

Supplier's Notes:
The Serge Variable Bandwidth Filter (VCF2) is probably the rarest classic filter in the Serge system, offering a unique combination of 2 filters. According to the 1983 Serge catalogue, the Variable Bandwidth VCF (VCF2) "has a band-pass output which can be varied manually or with voltage control. This is a standard response synthesizer VCF, typical to filters used in many studio systems. In the VCF2, two state-variable VCF's are connected in series to produce a total of five outputs. High pass, low pass, two fixed bandwidth outputs, and one variable bandwidth output are available. The outputs are all flat-response (no resonance) so the VCF2 is suitable for processing concrete sounds without introducing resonant coloration to the timbres. Under voltage or manual control, cut-off frequency of the high and low-pass outputs are affected, as well as the center frequency of the two band-pass outputs. Both center frequency and bandwidth are independently controllable on the variable bandwidth output."

Now - for the first time, designed and licenced by Serge - the VCF2 is available as a eurorack module. A new switch has been added which determines if the CV-controls are routed to the first (left), second (right) or both filters, bringing even more sonic options than the original.

Some details of the Random Source Serge VCF2 module:

Animal Factory Module Orobas 2 Dual Tube Amplifier Module Animal Factory Module Orobas 2 Dual Tube Amplifier Module Animal Factory Module Orobas 2 Dual Tube Amplifier Module
Animal Factory Module Orobas 2 Dual Tube Amplifier Module (distortion/mixer/VCA/waveshaper synth module)
Cat: 852781 Rel: 24 Feb 23

A dual tube amplifier that is composed of two identical units.
Notes: The second batch of Animal Factory's dual-valve saturation all-rounder features hand-matched 6J32P valves for a faster, slightly more precise take on this unique blend of mixing, VCAs, distortion and wave folding.

Supplier's Notes:
Orobas is a dual tube amplifier that is composed of two identical units.

Each channel has two audio inputs with dedicated gain controls and one output volume control.
Thanks to clever routing, a wide variety of sounds can be created. The two channels can be connected in parallel or in series (Parallel / Series). In series connection, the output of channel 1 is still active, good for parallel signals (note: each channel output is phase-inverted in relation to the opposite input). This way, feedback can be generated by feeding back the signal from output 1 to e.g. a control voltage input.

The screen control voltage input determines the gain and the sound characteristics. Additionally, the input is normalized to INPUT 1 of the respective channel.

The Suppress control voltage input is normalized to the input signal if nothing is connected. The purpose of this input is to direct electrons reflected from the anode back to the anode. Turning the knob to the positive does not change as much, turning it to the negative slightly attenuates overtones. With a positive control voltage the change is minimal, but with a negative control voltage you can realize e.g. ducking effects and effectively switch off the tube. Audio Rate Modulation is also possible here and a bit milder than with the Screen CV, but still effective.

The evocation potentiometer controls the feedback of the second output into the first channel. The sonic performance is very much dependent on the Plate Bias switch. The Plate Bias switch effectively controls the headroom. This allows you to use the tubes in three different settings, from fuzz sound to full distortion.

*This version is equipped with other tubes than in version 1.

AJH Synth MiniMod Muting Mixer & VCA Audio Mixer Module (black)
Cat: 852985 Rel: 23 Feb 22

A dedicated audio mixer for the MiniMod range.
Notes: Five-channel mixer with mutes, built-in VCA, switchable overdrive and LED level meter. Simple, straightforward, high-quality stuff from AJH.

Supplier's Notes:
The MiniMod Muting Mixer & VCA is a 10HP wide, five channel audio mixer with many useful features. It is available with either a black (Dark Edition), or a silver front panel.

The mixer section has five input channels, and each channel includes a bi-colour tactile LED switch that can instantly mute or un-mute the channel, replicating the oscillator on/off switches on the original Model D synthesiser. This arrangement is more convenient than regular switches as each illuminated switch shows the on/off status of the associated channel and multiple buttons can be pressed at once, making it very useful for live performance.

AJH have also included a four segment LED level meter so that the overall level can be seen at a glance and adjusted to prevent the output from getting too "hot" and causing distortion in other modules further downstream.

It also features a VCA that is integrated into the output section, and this can be switched from linear to exponential response - this allows it to be used as a voltage controlled sub mixer or as a stand alone VCA with five inputs.

Lastly, AJH added a wonderfully soft and warm sounding overdrive circuit that can be switched in to add smooth, tube like distortion. This works in a similar fashion to a master volume guitar amplifier, so the amount of overdrive can be varied widely with different settings of channel and master output levels.

After Later Audio SHTH Sample & Hold/Track & Hold Module
After Later Audio SHTH Sample & Hold/Track & Hold Module (LFO/noise/sample & hold/utility synth module)
Cat: 857269 Rel: 09 Dec 21

Module that allows stepped output via sample & hold and track & hold techniques
Notes: SHTH - Sample and Hold - Track and Hold

Create stepped outputs using two different classic synthesis techniques, sample & hold and/or track & hold.

Sample & Hold

The top four jacks make up the sample and hold section. There is a noise output that is normalled to the input so you can pass a gate/trig signal into the SAMP input to get a stepped output at the OUT jack.

IN - Signal that will be sampled, normalled to NSE output
SAMP - When high updates the voltage being sent to the output
NSE - White noise output
OUT - The sampled output (freezes the value from the IN jack when the SAMP jack receives a high signal)

Track & Hold

The bottom four jacks make up the track and hold section. There is a walk signal (a randomish meandering voltage) that is normalled to the input. Track and hold is the opposite of sample and hold in that it will pass the IN value to the OUT jack until the TRACK input receives a high gate. While the TRACK input is high it will hold the value. After the TRACK input goes low, it will begin tracking the IN signal again.

IN - Signal that will be tracked
TRACK - When high the value will be held at the output
WALK - A meandering voltage
OUT - The track output (follows IN while TRACK is low, held voltage while TRACK is high)

Cat: 857276 Rel: 28 Mar 22

A clean and precise utility module that is equally at home mixing Control Voltage as it is audio.
Notes: 221.x2 is a clean and precise utility module that is equally at home mixing Control Voltage as it is audio. At its simplest, it is two independent 2-to-1 mixers that offer per-channel attenuation and inversion, as well as +6dB of gain available at the summed outputs. With a tap of the "All Mix" button, these separate mixes can be combined into a 4-to-1 mix at the "All Mix" output - meanwhile, the first 1+2 mix is still available at its respective summed output. A rear expansion input and output allows for combining multiple modules into larger systems.

In addition, each channel also offers a Direct Output that can be taken pre or post attenuation/inversion.

A 6-volt offset is normalled into the input jacks of channels 2 and 4. This voltage is available at the channel's Direct Output, as well as added to the mixed outputs. Useful as an offset for mixing with another CV signal, or simply as a voltage source.

Each summed output group has two blue LEDs for displaying the shape of the summed CV, and can also serve as signal present indicators for audio. Peak LEDs trigger at ~9.6V, allowing for a bit of headroom before things get out of hand.

Cosmotronic Messor Stereo Compressor & Transient Shaper Module (black) (dynamics/dual/stereo/envelope follower/expander/VCA module)
Cat: 849464 Rel: 16 Mar 22

Stereo compressor & transient shaper module - 8HP
Notes: Messor is a stereo compressor with lots of tricks up its sleeves. From gluing a mix together to squashing drums, sidechaining kicks and sculpting transients.

It's a VCA based feed-forward compressor with a high quality low noise signal path. The magic happens in the internal sidechain that shapes the gain reduction envelope.

There are the familiar controls of a compressor, attack, release, threshold, ratio and makeup gain, as well as a switchable high-pass / low-pass sidechain filter.

The ratio can go past limiting and into over-compression, which can completely reshape transients, a great tool for sound design.

Being modular, of course there are CV inputs for Attack, Release and the Filter cutoff.

The Gain CV controls the makeup gain, but also doubles as a Stereo VCA with the Gain knob off.

The gain reduction envelope is also available, for turning filters or other VCA's into compressors for example.

There's a bypass switch, and another Warm/Pure switch, that can bring in a bit of additional saturation and compression in the form of analog tube simulation circuitry.

Lastly there's the possibility to insert an external sidechain, for that classic kick sidechain compression.

Mystic Circuits IDUM Gate Processing Effect Module
Mystic Circuits IDUM Gate Processing Effect Module (clock modulator/effect/frequency divider/looper/quad/random module)
Cat: 875962 Rel: 12 Jul 22

Gate processing effect module - 10HP
Notes: Instant IDM! An unusual genre-specific module from Mystic Circuits, automatically generating complex trigger sequences. Create loops or apply real-time effects to a trigger or gate input.

Supplier's Notes:
IDUM is a gate processing effect that turns its input effortlessly into IDM. Making complex electronic music with the modular usually requires meticulous sequencing done in advance or a large ecosystem of modules. Unfortunately, the level of expertise needed to accomplish this is not accessible to the average modular user. IDUM aims to make this process easier and put Intelligent Dance Music, also known as IDM, into the hands of people with average intelligence. IDUM does not require much knowledge to get immediate and compelling results; but with some extra familiarity, this module can enable innovative music making techniques. Instead of generating musical patterns on its own, IDUM acts like an effects processor for the sequences that run through it. For example, a filter or a delay allows the user to alter their sound by twisting the knobs or modulating the parameters. Similarly, IDUM manipulates the actual gates and sequences of connected modules, but with a level of playability normally inaccessible to a sequencer. IDUM can vary carefully crafted sequences or turn your music into an onslaught of controlled chaos. Its open source code and hardware based on the beginner friendly Arduino Nano Every encourage users to tweak their modules to taste or to add new features all while ensuring future improvements as IDUM makes its way into the wild.

IDUM has eight effect modes:

HOLD - Alter the length of incoming triggers.

BURST - Generates a ratcheting effect with timing determined by the clock.

MULTIPLY/DIVIDE - Generates a ratcheting effect with timing determined by incoming triggers.

BALL - Generates a bouncing ball effect.

ROTATE - scrambles the connections of inputs and outputs.

DELAY - postpones incoming gates by a dynamic amount of time based on incoming triggers.

BREAK - preset rhythms that turn incoming triggers into breakbeats.

SKIP - manipulates the clock output to multiply the clock speed or skip forward multiple steps.

In addition to these modes, IDUM features an eight step looper that loops incoming gates as well as any effects that were active on those steps.

To control when IDUM's effects are active, the CHANCE slider sets the likelihood that on a given step an effect will activate and the LENGTH slider sets how many steps the effect will last for. The PARAM knob controls a parameter unique to each effect while the MODE knob selects the mode. All of these controls as well as the LOOP status have their own CV modulation inputs.

Unique to IDUM is its ability to manipulate external sequencers using the clock output. This includes functions like: pausing the clock when an effect is active for dynamic clock division, skipping forwards or multiplying the speed of the clock in SKIP mode, and looping a sub-section of sequencer steps in the looper. To keep everything tamed while manipulating the clock, the CYCLE switch will send out bursts of clocks to catch your sequencer up with its original sequencer position after an effect has completed. Keep in mind that not all sequencers like to be clocked fast enough to work with these features, so for best results pair your IDUM with a TREE/ LEAVES combo from Mystic Circuits.

IDUM might be the stupidest way to make IDM and Mystic Circuits are proud of that. Whether you want to add complexity to your dance floor bangers or make the most obtuse and unlistenable music imaginable, IDUM is here to help. See just how dumb your music can get with the Mystic Circuits IDUM.

8HP module/external floor pedal
Notes: Most musicians use their feet as an extension of their playing, either pushing piano pedals, sustain pedals, guitar pedals.

However, feet have been underrated while using modulars. In the past ADDAC released a series of modules using sustain and expression pedals for triggering or controlling signals to help breaking the ice. While these are small and still useful for simple uses, ADDAC wanted to create something more specific this time.

This new solution features 5 footswitches and 5 inputs for external expression pedals with independent controls for each.

The aim was to save HP rack space and so created an external floor pedal with all the footswitches and controls, keeping the module HP to the minimum possible featuring only the 10 outputs and the connector to the external floor pedal.

There are many expression pedals in the market and although the most common one is the TRS pedal there are 2 other standards: RTS and TS.

All five ADDAC311 inputs expect TRS pedals, if you're looking into buying one choose a TRS pedal.

If you already have other pedals channel 4 features jumpers that can be switched in order to be used with a RTS pedal.

Channel 5 features a jumper that can be switched in order to be used with a TS pedal.

External expression pedals are required for their outputs to work.

External expression pedals are not included

AJH Synth MiniMod Multi Burst Envelopes Advanced Burst Generator Module (silver)
AJH Synth MiniMod Multi Burst Envelopes Advanced Burst Generator Module (silver) (clockgenerator/clock modulator/CV modulation/envelope generator/LFO synth module)
Cat: 877175 Rel: 09 May 22

The MiniMod Multi Burst Envelopes module generates variable length bursts of repeating envelopes that can change over time, with CV control of all functions.
Notes: The MiniMod Multi Burst Envelopes module generates variable length bursts of repeating envelopes that can change over time, with CV control of all functions.

The BURSTS control selects a "Burst Sequence" of between 1 and 40 individual envelopes. The envelope shape of a burst is chosen with the rotary switch, or it can be varied using an external CV, so that it is even possible to chose a different envelope shape for each individual burst in a sequence.

The width of the envelope (i.e. the attack and decay time) is varied with the P-WIDTH control and this can also be CV controlled as a sequence is progressing, so it is possible to vary the envelope speed of each individual envelope burst while a Burst Sequence is running.

The repeat time of individual bursts in a Burst Sequence is set with the LFO Rate control. The LFO rate can be varied with an external CV as a sequence is progressing, so the gap between envelopes can speed up or slow down over time. An external clock can also time the bursts in a burst sequence instead of, or in addition to the internal LFO. Bursts can also be manually incremented with the CLK push button.

The SLOPE control allows Bursts to start quietly and build in level to maximum, or they can start at full level and then reduce in level as the Burst Sequence progresses. In the centre position all Bursts are of equal level.

Cat: 876542 Rel: 29 Sep 22

A morphing dual analogue oscillators module in 28HP.
Notes: Excellent value from this unique dual analogue oscillator, heavily based around the concept of 3D morphing using touch-sensitive control strips. Deep modulation options and stable TZFM add up to impressively deep sound design.

Supplier's Notes:
Norand unveils Morphos, a morphing dual analogue oscillators packed with creative features.

3D Morphing

Morphos' preset strips are groups of four specially developed FSR sensors that can precisely detect vertical, horizontal and pressure information from the pressure distribution of your finger. 3D morphing allows you to create entirely new soundscapes by morphing between multiple user presets, in three different dimensions. All at the reach of your fingertips, it opens up a whole new world for live jamming!

The Synthesis

The two all-analogue, digitally controlled Oscillators provide very pure harmonics, 4 waveform types on a continuously variable potentiometer and extremely stable TZFM (Through Zero Frequency Modulation). Thanks to its digital brain, an active calibration system allows it to track over 10 octaves, even at high TZFM ratio.

Contextual Modulation

Morphos inherits Norand Mono's Contextual Modulation technology, adapted for the modular world. It is possible to modulate every parameter under CV. The module provides 3 Modulation Modes - Attenuverter, Modulator and Ping Envelope - allowing you to modulate timbre and create drum sounds.

Modbap Modular Transit 2-Channel Stereo Mixer Module (black)
Modbap Modular Transit 2-Channel Stereo Mixer Module (black) (dual/stereo/dynamics/mixer/VCA synth module)
Cat: 877211 Rel: 08 Jul 22

2-Channel Stereo Eurorack Mixer.
Notes: Transit has two stereo (dual mono) channel lanes of audio with an all-analogue signal path. Each stereo channel lane has its own input gain control, mute button and ducking input. The Ducking input on each channel operates like traditional sidechaining on a compressor where an input signal, CV or Trigger input (i.e. LFO, Clock, Gate) modulates the gain reduction of the audio.

Transit offers a main stereo output controlled by the master volume control knob and an independent 3.5mm headphone output controlled by its own headphone level control knob.

Digitally controlled LEDs for each stereo channel lane indicate level via white, blue and pink illumination while engaging mutes illuminates the LEDs with the color red. Master and headphone levels also have their own LEDS for level indication using the same color scheme of illumination.

All in all, Transit is a rather full features compact 6hp dual stereo channel lane eurorack formatted mixer that offers easy signal mixing, gain staging, ducking, and performance-oriented mutes. Transit is just as at home in a small eurorack system as one Transit or several would be in a larger system.

Frap Tools Mone/MasterOne CGM Creative Mixer Masterone Module
Frap Tools Mone/MasterOne CGM Creative Mixer Masterone Module (dual/stereo/external/mixer synth module)
Cat: 840658 Rel: 20 Aug 21

The first Frap Tools module designed to be connected exclusively with non-Eurorack equipment
Notes: Designed for Frap's CGM Creative Mixer modules, the Masterone takes an input via IDC socket rather than standard Eurorack connections, then feeds out to headphone outs, balanced stereo XLR, TRS and mono.

Supplier's Notes:
The Masterone is the first Frap Tools module designed to be connected exclusively with non-Eurorack equipment.

It features four separate output sections with different Neutrik connectors and adjustable gain levels to suit the most common live and studio situations (and even some uncommon ones).

With no inputs and just large-format outputs, it pushes even further the concept behind the M module: being a Eurorack system's gateway to the outside world.

XLR Balanced Stereo Outputs

Two XLR connectors (left and right) provide a balanced output with the expected 6 dB extra gain. In many cases, they can allow bypassing a DI box.

TRS Pseudo-Balanced Stereo Outputs

These outputs are very similar in concepts to the ones on the M module, but with large 1/4" jack connectors. It is possible to patch standard TS cables and use them as unbalanced outputs, or use TRS cables to interface them with balanced equipment (the ground is routed to both the ring and the sleeve, for a better performance than regular unbalanced outputs).

Attenuation Switches for Flexible Connectivity

If the two stereo outputs are too hot, a set of switches can attenuate them. The Line/Mic switch on the XLR outputs attenuates them by ~30 dB, while the Line/Inst switch on the TRS outputs attenuates them by ~15 dB.

Stereo Headphones Output with Pre-Fader Listening

The Headphones section allows you to monitor the Master output with an independent volume knob and, at the same time, take advantage of the PFL function on the Channels and the Groups. Rotate the PFL crossfader towards the blue section to blend the PFL modules with the Master sum and check if everything is okay before launching the next scene.

Mono Output with Dedicated Fader

Should you need an extra monitor on stage, or run the whole system through a vintage amp in the studio for parallel processing, the auxiliary monophonic outputs is the answer. It provides the sum of both channels in a handy, pseudo-balanced output with a dedicated fader: attenuate the line level by 15 dB, or amplify it by 6 dB.

Noise Engineering Quantus Ampla 4-Channel VCA Module (black)
Cat: 841384 Rel: 13 Sep 21

A compact four-channel VCA.
Notes: Quantus Ampla is a compact four-channel VCA. But it's not just any VCA: with some unique normalizing, mixing, and CV options, and a bit of NE flair, you can use it for tonnes of stuff. From the top, each channel has two independent modes: Amplify, which gives you normal VCA response, and Attenuate, which makes the VCAs close instead of open in response to positive CV.

The CV inputs are circularly normalled, so you can easily create ducking effects over multiple voices, volume fades, and transitions, all with minimal patching. Plus, the outputs mix down, so it can be two two-channel mixers, a 3-channel mixer plus a VCA, a 4-channel mixer- mix and match to your heart's content. Did we mention it's DC-coupled? Yep, you can use it to process CV signals, too.

You can never have too many VCAs. Your Quantus Ampla is waiting for you.

Acid Rain Technology Junction 4-Channel Attenuverter Mixer & Multiple Module
Cat: 846080 Rel: 11 Oct 21

A compact, 4 channel attenuverter, cascading mixer and multiple designed to fine tune the control voltages in your rack to the perfect range for their destinations.
Notes: Junction requires a +12V / -12v power supply with a 2x5 pin ribbon cable (included). The red line of the ribbon cable must be aligned with the -12V marking next to the module's power header and on your case's power distribution board. Junction draws 23mA from the +12 rail and 20mA from the -12 rail. Please ensure you have
enough power available before installing.

About Junction

Junction is a compact, 4 channel attenuverter, cascading mixer and multiple designed to fine tune the control voltages in your rack to the perfect range for their destinations. Junction can be used as a source of fixed voltage, offset another voltage, or mix multiple voltages together to create complex and dynamic modulation.

Features

Each channel on Junction has a knob (1) that acts as a manual control for the attenuverter. Center position (12 o clock) is 0V. The first channel input (2) is normalized to +5V when no cable is plugged into it.

A buffered copy of the input signal of the first channel is present on all of the other inputs from from the first (2) to the last (8). This duplication is "cascading" as shown by the arrow graphics on the panel - if a cable is patched into any input, it "breaks" the cascading multiple - all unpatched inputs carry the signal present at the uppermost patched input (or +5V if no inputs are patched). For example, if a signal is patched into the second channel's input (4) the third (6) and fourth (8) channel inputs would carry a copy of the second channel's input instead of the first channel input.

Junction's channels are mixed on the outputs. The output mixer is also "cascading" - when a cable is patched into an output, it carries a mix of it's own output and all unpatched channel outputs above it. For example, if only the last channel output (9) is patched, this output will carry a mix of all of the outputs. Patching the first channel output (3) would remove it from this mix.

Even though Junction's inputs cascade and outputs mix, Junction's output will clip at the Eurorack power rail voltages of +12 and -12V. It is not possible to output a voltage outside of this range, regardless of the signals patched into Junction.

Xaoc Devices Zagrzeb 1979 Stereo Four Pole VC Filter Module (dual/stereo/effects/filter synth module)
Cat: 846578 Rel: 14 Jan 22

A stereo multimode 4-pole (24dB/oct) state variable voltage-controlled filter (SV VCF).
Notes: A seriously versatile filter here, much more than meets the eye. Stereo, state-variable, multi-mode design gives you huge control over frequency response and stereo image.

Supplier's Notes:
Zagrzeb is a stereo multimode 4-pole (24dB/oct) state variable voltage-controlled filter (SV VCF). It offers five distinct frequency responses, three of which are available simultaneously. Spread control allows for animation of the stereo image by moving the left and right filter cutoff frequencies in opposite directions. Zagrzeb is designed to sound smooth and clean unless it is overdriven with a hot signal- however, it does not lack character! We believe it will be appreciated by fans of old Japanese synthesizers, but bear in mind that Zagrzeb is not a clone of any existing design. The four-pole state variable structure is a new development and offers unique sonic characteristics. While Zagrzeb is designed for filtering stereo signals (e.g. samples or stereo oscillators like Xaoc Devices Odessa), it can easily handle mono signals and is capable of creating a faux stereo pair thanks to a special phase shifting network at the input.

Xaoc Devices Erfurt 1989 Binary Phase Akkumulator Module
Xaoc Devices Erfurt 1989 Binary Phase Akkumulator Module (clock generator/digital/expander/frequency divider/oscillator synth module)
Cat: 846596 Rel: 27 Apr 22

A digital module that may be used as an 8-output clock and audio frequency divider, a bi-directional binary counter, or a component of the Leibniz binary system.
Notes: Creatively inspiring business from Xaoc as usual. The Erfurt is a digital phase accumulator, digital oscillator, binary counter or clock/audio frequency divider. Versatile stuff.

Supplier's Notes:
Xaoc Devices Erfurt is a digital module that may be used as an 8-output clock and audio frequency divider, a bi-directional binary counter, or a component of the Leibniz binary system, i.e. a programmable digital oscillator.

Erfurt features an 8-bit register which holds its current state: an 8-bit number representing digital values from 0 to 255. The state is available at the front panel via eight binary (5V gate) outputs and reflected by the 8 status LEDs. There are three clock inputs: one incrementing the state at each impulse, one decrementing, and one resetting the state to zero. The state may also be changed manually with two buttons.

When operating alone, the state of Erfurt changes by 1 at each impulse from the clock inputs, so that it counts from 0 to 255 in a cycle (modulo 256). This yields the signal frequency divided by 2, 4, 8, etc. up to 128, available at individual bit outputs. Depending on which clock input is used, the clock patterns correspond to the so called mathematical or musical divisions of the rhythm.

With two different clocks patched to the inputs, the counter alternately increases and decreases its state, and ultimately it counts with a rate proportional to the frequency difference between the clocks. A third clock patched to the Reset input may be used to shorten the sequence thus making the cycle incomplete for even more rhythmic diversity.

When there is a Leibniz data source connected at the back (even as simple as Lipsk), the state increases or decreases in larger steps, depending on the data present at the Leibniz bus (eg. the value programmed by the Lipsk buttons). The counter overflows quicker, and produces more complex patterns.

The state of the counter may be used as a phase input to a digital wave table. Connected to other Leibniz modules, Erfurt may play various roles, eg. it may scan waveshapes in Jena, produce stepped voltages useful for making interesting glissandi with Drezno and any VCO, generate gate patterns animating the spectrum of Odessa harmonic banks, spawn pseudo-chaotic sequences when fed back to Lipsk, etc. Since Erfurt is based on CMOS logic (no CPU!), it can be clocked at very high frequencies (exceeding audio rate), therefore some selection switches are provided for clock pre-scaling.

Joranalogue Enhance 2 Stereophonic Enhancer Module (dual & stetreo/panning synth module)
Cat: 846731 Rel: 25 Nov 21

Stereophonic Enhancer.
Notes: A comprehensive solution for stereo signals in Eurorack, the Enhance 2 offers stereo and mid/side processing with tons of CV control. Balance, widen and sculpt frequency bands.

Supplier's Notes:
Moving from mono to stereo sound: a logical progression for any synthesist looking to expand their sonic palette. Making use of two audio channels, rather than just one, quite literally adds another dimension to the capabilities of a synthesiser.

Unfortunately, controlling stereo signals can be a challenge within a modular system. This realisation led to the development of Enhance 2: a convenient yet high-fidelity tool for stereo enhancement. It can be used to adjust balance, width and spectral content, while also opening up a world of mid/side processing; all under voltage control and in just 8 HP.

The primary stereo parameters are balance (moving the sound left or right) and width (making it narrower or wider). The balance circuit uses a true constant-power gain law, while the width stage allows for seamless transitions from pure mono to extra-wide stereo.

In addition, tone control is provided by a pair of unique, wide-ranging mid/side voltage controlled tilt filters with selectable corner frequency. These make 'cleaning up' a muddy-sounding mix straightforward, but also provide unique binaural effects when modulated.

Mid/side processing encodes the stereo signals into one containing only the mono material (mid), and another containing the differences between both channels (side). Apart from the internal tilt filters, mid/side outputs also enable external signal processing such as compression or reverberation. An integrated mid/side decoder returns the results back to standard stereo. And at all times, a LED bar phase meter ensures that phase correlation can be easily maintained.

Stereo field modulation, mid/side equalisation and beyond; Enhance 2 brings true analogue stereo control to the Eurorack world.

Doepfer A-126-2 Frequency Shifter Eurorack Module
Doepfer A-126-2 Frequency Shifter Eurorack Module (eurorack oscillator/phase shifter/pitch shifter/VCA module)
Cat: 847081 Rel: 17 Nov 21

Voltage Controlled Frequency Shifter II
Notes: Module A-126-2 is a fully analog frequency shifter for audio signals. A frequency shifter is an audio processing unit that shifts each frequency of the incoming audio signal by the same frequency. If the shifting frequency is e.g. 200Hz an incoming audio frequency of 1000 Hz becomes 1200 Hz, 2000Hz becomes 2200 Hz, 3000 Hz becomes 3200 Hz and so on. Pay attention that this is different from pitch shifting where all frequencies are shifted proportional (e.g. 1000>1200Hz, 2000>2400Hz, 3000>3600Hz) !
The frequency range of the internal quadrature VCO is about 8 octaves (about 20Hz ... 5kHz). If required an external quadrature VCO can be used.

The module is equipped with these controls, inputs and outputs:

Frequ. 1: first manual control of the shifting frequency (factory setting: coarse, range about 20Hz - 5 kHz)

Frequ. 2: second manual control of the shifting frequency (factory setting: fine)

by means of internal jumpers the sensitivity of Frequ.1 and 2 can be swapped (i.e. Frequ.1 = fine and Frequ.2 = coarse)

the relation between coarse and fine control is about 25:1 (corresponding to about 8 octaves to 1/3 octave)

FCV In (socket) and FCV (small control without knob): control voltage input with attenuator for the external voltage control of the shifting frequency

Mix: manual control of the up/down shift panning unit, fully CCW = down shift, fully CW = up shift, in between a mixture of down and up

Mix CV In (socket) and Mix CV (small control without knob): control voltage input with attenuator for the mixing unit for external voltage control of the up/down mixing

Audio In (socket), Level (small control without knob) and Overload (LED): audio input with attenuator, typ. audio in level = 1Vpp, the level control has to be adjusted so that the overload LED just begins to light up a bit, when the LED is fully on clipping/distortion occurs, when the LED is permanently off the input level is too low and the signal-to-noise ratio increases

Audio Out (socket): audio output of the frequency shifter

Squelch (small control without knob): controls the squelch function: fully CCW (Env.) the output VCA is controlled by the envelope signal, which is derived from the audio input signal, fully CW (open) the output VCA is permanently open (no squelch function), in between the squelch intensity can be adjusted

Quadrature VCO Outputs (sockets Sin and Cos): outputs of the internal quadrature oscillator, about 12Vpp level (+6V/-6V)

Ext. Inputs Sin and Cos (sockets): required when an external quadrature VCO (e.g. A-143-9 with a wider frequency range or A-110-4 with thru zero feature or A-110-6 with different waveforms) is used instead of the internal quadrature VCO, the levels of the external VCO should be about 10Vpp (8...10Vpp are OK) and the signals have to be symmetrical around zero Volts, the sockets are normalled to the internal quadrature VCO (i.e. the sockets are equipped with switching contacts that interrupt the internal connection as soon as a plug inserted)

VCA ext. CV (socket): used when an external control voltage (e.g. from an envelope generator) should be used to control the output VCA instead of the internal squelch unit, the socket is normalled to the output of the squelch control (i.e. the socket is equipped with a switching contact that interrupts the internal squelch connection as soon as a plug inserted). From about +8V external control voltage the VCA is fully open.

Doepfer A-126-2v Frequency Shifter Vintage Edition Module (black)
Doepfer A-126-2v Frequency Shifter Vintage Edition Module (black) (oscillator/phase shifter/pitch shifter/VCA synth module)
Cat: 847083 Rel: 17 Nov 21

Voltage Controlled Frequency Shifter II
Notes: 'Vintage' black panel version of Doepfer's updated frequency shifter module, offering weird and wonderful effects by shifting all frequencies by a fixed amount. Unique sound, not to be confused with pitch shifting.

Supplier's Notes:
Module A-126-2 is a fully analog frequency shifter for audio signals.

Doepfer A-149-4 Quad VC Random Polyphonic Random Voltage Source Slim Line Series Module
Cat: 847089 Rel: 24 Jun 22

Quad Random Voltage Source (Slim Line Series)
Notes: Module A-149-4 generates four triggered random voltages which meet the criteria choosen by several controls.

Manual controls for the criteria selection:

Octave range (manual control "Oct."): this parameter defines how many octaves are covered by the random voltages (0 ... +5V, with "Oct." control fully CCW only 0V are generated)

Grid (6 illuminated radio buttons): this parameter defines the grid of the random voltages:

Octaves (Oct)

Octaves + Quin (Quint)

Chords

Scale

Semitones

continuous (i.e. stepless)

Minor / Major (2 illuminated radio buttons): this parameter defines in case of chords or scales if they are minor or major. For all other grids this parameter has no meaning

Sixth / Seventh (2 illuminated separate buttons): these parameters defines if the sixth or seventh is added. Valid only if Oct, Quint, Chord or Scale is chosen as grid.

The output voltages follow the 1V/octave standard with exception of the Continuous mode. The voltages in this mode are totally random and do not follow the 1V/oct standard (i.e. not a multiple of 1/12V).
The generation of a new random voltage at the output (CV Out 1...4) is triggered by the corresponding trigger input (Trig. In 1...4). The trigger inputs are normalled top down. The minimum trigger level is +2.5V (up to max. +12V).

Applications:

random polyphonic structures (in combination with the polyphonic modules A-111-4, A-105-4, A-132-8, A-141-4 and e.g. A-157 as trigger source and A-173-1/2 for transposition of the polyphonic structures)

any application that requires several random voltages

Doepfer A-179-2 Light Controlled Voltage Source II Slim Line Series Module (silver)
Cat: 847090 Rel: 09 Nov 21

Light Controlled Voltage Source II (Slim Line Series)
Notes: Module A-179-2 can be used to convert different illumination intensities into corresponding analog voltages and a gate signal derived from the analog voltage. It's the successor of the obsolete module A-179.
A light sensitive resistor (LDR) converts the illumination of the internal light sensor into a corresponding analog control voltage. The internal sensor is located at the front panel. Instead of the internal sensor a remote sensor can be connected via a standard patch cable to the module (ext.Sens. socket). An external sensor with a 2 m patch cable (A-100C200) is included. The external sensor is mounted on a small pc board which is equipped also with a 3.5 mm jack socket. The nut of the socket can also be used to mount the external sensor.

The module A-179 is similar to the Theremin module A-178 but uses the illumination intensity instead of the distance between hand and antenna for generating the analog voltage.
One can choose between passive control by covering/shading the sensor via hand or body, or active control by using e.g. a pocket lamp or flashlight. For this two versions of output voltages are available (CV Out + und CV Out -).

The module has these controls and in/outputs available:

ext. Sens.: by means of a standard patch cable the external sensor can be connected to this socket. In this case the internal sensor is turned off.

CV Offset: control to adjust the output voltage which is assigned to a certain illumination (e.g. 0V for complete darkness)

CV Level: control that is used to adjust the sensitivity of the generated output voltage (i.e. how much a certain difference in brightness affects the output voltage)

Gate Threshold: control that is used to adjust the threshold for the generation of the gate signal, an internal jumper is used to define if the gate signal is derived from the CV Out+ or CV Out- voltage.

CV Out+: positive control voltage output, increasing brighness causes the increase of the voltage at this output

CV Out+: negative control voltage output, increasing brighness causes the decrease of the voltage at this output

LED CV Out: bipolar LED (red/yellow) as display for the CV outputs

Gate: gate output with LED display

Applications:

controlling any voltage controlled parameter e.g. pitch or pulswidth of a VCO, filter frequency or resonance of a VCF, loudness of a VCA, time of an envelope generator, frequency of a VCLFO
triggering activities via gate with adjustable threshold, e.g. starting an envelope, starting/stopping a sequencer or any switching function (e.g. with A-150-1 or 151).
Conversion into MIDI control change messages is possible with the A-192-2.

Width: 4 HP / 20.0 mm
Depth: 30mm (measured from the rear side of the front panel)

Haken Audio EaganMatrix Synth Voice Module Haken Audio EaganMatrix Synth Voice Module Haken Audio EaganMatrix Synth Voice Module Haken Audio EaganMatrix Synth Voice Module Haken Audio EaganMatrix Synth Voice Module Haken Audio EaganMatrix Synth Voice Module Haken Audio EaganMatrix Synth Voice Module
Haken Audio EaganMatrix Synth Voice Module (digital/dual/stereo/effect/synth voice/MIDI/oscillator synth module)
Cat: 847880 Rel: 04 May 22

Sound engine for Eurorack that can be controlled by control vlotages and/or MIDI
Notes: A full-on digital modular system in a single module. Eight-voice polyphony, audio processing and CV/MIDI functionality, all customisable via the PC/Mac editor. Serious DSP power in 22 hp.

Supplier's Notes:
Integrate the power of EaganMatrix Sound Technology into your Eurorack! The EaganMatrix Module is a full-featured EaganMatrix Sound Engine for Eurorack, and can be controlled by control voltages and/or Midi. This versatile module can act as a sound source, a sound processor, a CV source (via connection to an external Control Voltage Converter), a Midi source, or a customizable combination of all these capabilities.

The EaganMatrix Module provides a truly versatile framework for both studio and live performance. Flexibility is key, due to its audio inputs and outputs, integrated CV inputs, external CV outputs (via Control Voltage Converter), and robust implementation of MPE and MPE+ Midi.

A single EaganMatrix Preset can give completely different sonic results, depending on how it is patched into a particular Eurorack ecosystem. Hundreds of System Presets are included with the EaganMatrix Module. In addition, an external cross-platform (Mac and PC) Haken Editor may be connected to modify and customize the supplied EaganMatrix System Presets, or create completely new presets from scratch.

The EaganMatrix Sound Technology, originally created for the gesturally highly sensitive Continuum, is now available to you in a Eurorack module. The EaganMatrix Module will quickly become a 'goto' component in your modular sound design and sonic composition.

Haken Audio's EaganMatrix Module offers:
Polyphony: Nominal 1, Maximum 8
Direct CV note control is limited to 1 voice at a time, but higher polyphony avoids voice stealing when EaganMatrix presets have long decays, and higher polyphony is often useful for Midi input.
4 Per-note CV Inputs: W, X, Y, Z
Gate (W) - Triggers at 1V, with max range -10V to +10V
Pitch (X) - 1V per octave, with programmable offset for Middle C; useful input voltages are a subpart of -10V to +10V (depends on the programmable offset selected)
Timbre (Y) - Function depends on EaganMatrix preset; voltage range is normally 0V to 5V, but -5V to +5V can be useful when combined with a programmable offset
Loudness (Z) - normally 0V to 5V, but -5V to +5V can be useful when combined with a programmable offset
4 Global CV Inputs: i, ii, iii, iv

Functionality depends on EaganMatrix preset; these CV affect all voices (notes from WXYZ and Midi); each global CV is normally 0V to 5V, but -5V to +5V can be useful when combined with a programmable offset
2 Analog Audio Inputs: Left and Right, or Mono
2 Analog Audio Outputs: Left and Right, or Mono Sum
-12dB switch selects between Eurorack Level and Line Level
Midi over USB
Allows bidirectional MPE and MPE+ connection to other devices; allows connection to the Haken Editor for editing and archiving EaganMatrix presets (USB-A cable included with purchase)
Universal 3.5mm Midi In (Type A, Type B, and TS)

A menu system allows stand-alone operation without need of computer, and provides monitoring for notes being played and CV input levels
The EaganMatrix is a modular digital synthesizer invented by Edmund Eagan, utilizing a DSP engine designed by Lippold Haken. This is the same EaganMatrix Sound Technology internal to the Continuum Fingerboard, the ContinuuMini, and Expressive E's Osmose keyboard. The EaganMatrix allows the user to finely craft their musical sound by digitally connecting audio and control modules via a patching matrix. The EaganMatrix Module contains a sophisticated digital modular patching world of its own, ready to interact with your other Eurorack modules to make musical results never before possible.

Power and size

The EaganMatrix Module requires +12V, +5V, ground, and -12V from your Eurorack enclosure.

A 16-pin standard Eurorack power cable is included with purchase.

Current requirements: 25mA at +12V and -12V. 300 mA max (190 mA avg) at +5V.

Alright Devices T-Wrex Analogue Bitcrusher & Decimator Module (eurorack distortion/effect/sample & hold module)
Cat: 834812 Rel: 16 Feb 22

Analogue bitcrusher and decimator
Notes: T-Wrex is an analogue bitcrusher and decimator!

T-Wrex has two separate sections: STOMP is a bitcrusher and CHOMP is a decimator. You can sweep each effect from imperceptible all the way to rumbly, growling sonic debris. Use each section's voltage-controllable dry/wet circuit to find the perfect balance of harmony and havoc!

At the core of each section is a high-speed, low-leakage analog sample & hold circuit. The bitcrusher's SYNC input is ORed with its internal s&h trigger which steps the output voltage. Mult IN to SYNC to force a static waveform, or use another VCO for the bitcrusher equivalent of hardsync!

The decimator's internal analog VCO controls its sample rate, but you can override it by patching your own signal to the SAMPLE input. Use complex waveforms to flavor your decimation (spicy!), or even use subaudio-rate signals for a traditional helping of sample & hold!

T-Wrex provides an attenuverter on each CV input for your patching convenience. Crank the CHOMP attenuverter fully counterclockwise to make the decimator's internal VCO track its CV at 1V/octave!

Specifications:
Power: +12V / 80mA, -12V / 70mA

SynthRotek Five Amp Blue Power Supply Module
Cat: 836844 Rel: 12 Jul 21

Power supply module - 4HP.
Notes: The Five Amp is a throwback to SynthRotek's original 5A Power Supply with some upgrades. It uses a quality 12V power brick for the +12V power regulation instead of a +12V converter. The plus side of doing it this way is that whatever amperage the -12V and +5V rails are not using can be used by the +12V rail, which always draws the most of the three.

Five Amp comes in three different power configurations. It is recommend that you select an option based upon your -12V rail draw. For a rule of thumb, Red (with red LEDs) will power a single row of 84 or 104HP, Green will power two rows of 104HP, and Blue will power three to four rows of 104HP.

STG Soundlabs Mankato 4-Pole Lowpass Filter Module
STG Soundlabs Mankato 4-Pole Lowpass Filter Module (filter/oscillator/slew limiter synth module)
Cat: 837822 Rel: 24 Nov 22

A four-pole lowpass filter with positive and negative outputs at every pole.
Notes: The Mankato Filter is a four-pole lowpass filter with positive and negative outputs at every pole, giving you slopes of 6 dB/oct, 12 dB/oct, 18 dB/oct, and 24 dB/oct simultaneously. The negative slope outputs allow you to use the Mankato as a quadrature sine oscillator with 8 available phases. The Mankato will self-resonate from subaudio to superaudio, and responds to one volt per octave through its unattenuated control inputs. When resonating, the 6dB/oct outputs are slightly hotter than the others and can be driven to lightly saturate at full resonance. The signal inputs are DC coupled, which allows you to use the Mankato as a voltage-controlled slew limiter at very low cutoff frequencies.
