Work here edges into the eerier end of Liars collaborating with Tom Waits' at his most experimental and that's really clutching for reference points. Quite unlike anything else you'll buy today, we promise.

Notes: 3xMIA is a 6-channel attenuverting mixer/offset/scale/polarizer.

Notes: A-138s is a simple but useful 4-in-2 mixing tool. It has four inputs available. Each input is equipped with an attenuator (Level) and a panning control that is used to distribute the signal to the left and right output. Beyond stereo mixing it is equally suited to create variable parallel routings. For example: Any of the four inputs may be routed in variable intensity to feed two filters.

You may regard the A-138s as a smaller version of the A-138m Matrix Mixer.

Notes: Module A-160-2 is an enhanced version of the standard clock divider A-160. - Edge triggered: the edge of the signal at the Reset input triggers the Reset
- Positive: a high level (> 2.5V) or the rising edge at the Reset input triggers the Reset
- Negative: a low level (< 1 V) or the falling edge at the Reset input triggers the Reset

The pre-amp has two inputs: an unbalanced input for line level signals, with a gain factor of from 0 to 20, and a balanced input with a gain factor of from 0 to 500, for insertion of low level signals, for instance from a microphone or electric guitar.

The Envelope Follower reads the signal level of the input, and puts out a proportional voltage as an envelope at its own output.

The comparator generates a gate signal whenever the input goes above an adjustable trigger threshold.

Notes: The sound performance of a vinyl playback system can be significantly improved when all unwanted resonances between the record and the platter can be reduced during playback. Enter record clamps and pucks; simple devices which are designed solely to ensure the record and platter surfaces are held together tightly.

Standard record pucks, that use only weight to achieve this aim, can have 2 disadvantages:

- The weight can induce higher levels of rumble, when used with lower cost turntables which have smaller main bearings
- Instead of tightening the records surface to the platter, heavy weight record pucks can cause the opposite to happen and potentially warp the vinyl record into a slight 'bowl' shape

Pro-Ject's Clamp-IT is one of the most competent solutions available. Notes: The Stereo Mixer 1U provides a convenient way to combine your mono and stereo sources into a single stereo mix. There is level control over the first two channels and, using a rear connector, you can chain multiple Stereo Mixer 1U's together into a hidden 3rd stereo channel without using up channels on the front panel. The chain i/o connectors are fully compatible with the Mixup connectors so you are able to mix 1U and 3U mix chains together as needed.

The Stereo Mixer 1U is a versatile, expandable audio mixer for the Intellijel 1U format. It has two pairs of front panel inputs, each with its own level control, and a mixed output pair. For each input pair, the left channel is normalled to the right channel, for mono operation.

Using 3-pin Link connectors on the back panel, you can chain multiple Stereo Mix 1U's together in series, giving you the ability to mix together even more inputs, or to create sub-mixes for routing audio around larger systems. Review: There are an awful lot of great records in the J Dilla's catalogue, but few can match the consistent quality and coherent construction of Welcome 2 Detroit, his 2001 breakthrough album. Designed as a love letter to his home city with a sample palette and blend of styles to match, it saw the late producer and a string of then largely unknown local MCs showcase their vocal talents over some of his best ever beats. This lusciously expansive 20th anniversary box set does a brilliant job in expanding on the original album, with the 12 included "45s" pairing vocal mixes with instrumentals, unreleased cuts and occasional remixes. The included hardback book is brilliant, too, and packed with first-hand accounts of the creation of a now iconic LP.

Review: It may come with an eyebrow-raising price tag, but what's on offer here is undeniably alluring: a box set of 10 seven-inch singles containing all of the songs from Louie Vega's brilliant Expansions In The NYC album - an all-star affair in which the Masters at Work man celebrated his love of New York disco, boogie and house. The album itself is incredible, with fantastic musicianship, arrangements and vocals, while the cast list - which includes original electrofunk outfit Unlimited Touch, Peech Boys main man Bernard Fowler, Honey Dijon, Cindy Mazelle, Moodymann, Kerri Chandler and his son Nico - is similarly impressive. It's a great product, packed with brilliant music: a fitting finale to this portion of the ongping 'Expansions NYC' project.

Review: Apparently inspired by a request for a reissue of their first 'greatest hits' comp Discography on vinyl, Smash is a career-spanning retrospective that rounds up all of the Pet Shop Boys singles to date - and there have been rather a lot over the years - in freshly remastered form. Naturally, it's a beautifully presented box set, featuring six slabs of wax (each in bespoke inner sleeves) and a booklet containing track-by-track liner notes by the iconic duo and journalist pal Chris Heath. It contains some of the greatest pop music made over the last four decades, with familiar hits being joined by fan favourites and occasionally overlooked later cuts. Basically, if you love the Pet Shop Boys you need this in your life.
