Fans of Stephen Hitchell will be excited to see these rumoured reissues finally seeing daylight. Review: Luke Eargoggle joins forces with Dataintrang here for a seasonally appropriate ice-cold electro outing on Return to Disorder. It kick off with side-long opener 'Top Of The Pyramid' which is full of sidewinding synths and squealing analogue lines over corrugated bass. After that one comes the manic and high tempo electro-shocks of 'Not Unique' with snappy snares and darkened vocals. Last but not least is the most brutal assault of them all - '7 Days A Week', a melange of wild acid lines and liquid metal leads with turbulent bass and a general sense of intergalactic warfare.

Review: Kaiserdisco bring some big room techno energy to the one label in the world that is most synonymous with that sound - Adam Beyer's Drumcode. Opener 'In The Music' is a dark and driving cut with an acid tinged bassline over hard, hammering, flat footed drums. Add in a dark vocal hook and you have a real monster. 'Error In The System' on the flip is another moody techno pumper for the main room with hefty drums, eerie siren sounds and of plenty squelchy designs. It's a real headwrecker to close out a big 12".

Review: Analogue is the Greek label which takes no prisoners in its pursuit of pure techno perfection and that's abundantly clear on this latest Various Artists drop, as Dax J kicks into gear with the searing, pummelling intensity of 'Ares'. It's a proper fist-shaker which sets you up for the hi-octane rumble of Kaiser's 'Kal' and ANFS' industrial jackhammer 'Amete'. That leaves Jerm to clean up with another weapons grade sheller driving ever-downwards in the ultimate ticket to peak time submission. This is techno in the toughest sense of the word - a very specific sound executed perfectly.

Review: Jeff Mills continues to gift us some utterly astounding house-tempered work from the Millsart project on this latest 12". Neo Tantric Parts draws from the deep well of Millsart archives, with 'Tear Drop Nebula' especially benefitting from a new mix as it shuffles percussion and vibraphone chimes around microtonal cascades which give the music a particularly giddy quality. 'The Phonetic World' has a punchy presence without losing that lighter style Mills adopts under this alias, while 'Neptunian Landing' heads into spookier territory with some faithful 909 hats for guidance. Watch out for 'Unidentified' though, a truly tweaked-out slice of space lounge gear for watching the walls of you mind melt after one too many solar flares.

Review: For the legendary label Tresor to put out a breakbeat record is something very rare. The ardent techno label for over 30 years is clearly telling us without saying, how good this music is. Tresor is always in touch with rave music though and it's not fully surprising that Tresor would support any music that is so reminiscent of the old skool days like Digital Entropy is. Datashader rises from the depths to give us their wicked debut. The EP is an audio onslaught that combines blistering breakbeat gems like 'Velocity 04.22' with eerie sci-fi pieces like 'Sync Out Off'. The AFX like 'Fong' and 'Sub Osc" are early favorites from those who have heard samples of this haunting record. It is rare to see the power of rave, breakbeat and IDM presented this well on one record.

Review: Aniara's white label number four delivers more techno goodness direct to the dance floor. The A-side features two of Arkajo's most compelling dance-floor tracks, with both offering a propulsive groove and warped and dubbed-out basslines. On the flip side, Dorisburg and Efraim Kent (who are here making their debut on Aniara) present the darker vibes of 'Data Smuggler' which rides on broken beats and has real menace in the airwaves. It complements the A-side with a more deep mood and hypnotic rhythm that will be pure dancing bait.

'Price We Pay' has two remixes featured here, with the both being massive main stage crowd pleasers. Review: One of the most successful and enduring techno labels has been the Dutch based Planet Rhythm Records. For over 30 years now the label has helped launch and propel the careers of some of the biggest names in the genre. One such name that the label has helped grow is Muzmin and 'The Bulb' EP is his fifth release for them to date. These heavy, grooving rhythmic tracks have just the right amount of percussive elements to give the tracks some melodic moods, 'The Bulb' itself having an eerie, sci-fi mysterious feel to it giving us Purpose Maker impressions. On 'Yuklem', the loopier underlying is particularly sick. 'Kran' also does a great job of feeling aggressive yet reserved in some aspects. This gives the track an excellent laid-back sound or a very heavy one depending on what you want to hone in on listening. That is a hard balance to have in heavy techno so we give Muzmin major props for having that experience and skill to pull off. This is no nonsense techno that fits perfectly into the fabric of the sound that the label has fostered.

Review: Befitting of the label's name, Drumsauw aka. Joseph Sutherland keeps to the Code with a fresh three-tracker of megatechno heaters. Starting things off with the entraining but no less driving dreamer 'Focus', we're met with riveting sixteenthy knocks and dour breakdowns, a formula devoutly followed throughout; the B offers up two further alarmist pummellings of the third kind, with 'Set Back' repeatedly jabbing the podiatric floor with pressurised weight-kicks and offhand "push it" voxxes, and 'Escape' continuing to sound said alarm while insisting that we "escape" the laboratory, now quarantined to sift out those hesitant to dance.

Review: DJ Agitated is an alias of a producer who we are told made an appearance on the superb remix album that reworked the best of Steffi's The Red Hunter. Now they join the Dolly TS series with some banging techno that surges along at high speed and never lets up. The Magic Overlooked EP is one that makes no concessions to current trends but instead taps into the essence of good techno no matter when it is made. The melodies are infused with plenty of soul from Detroit, the drums are well-designed and the moods are hard but uplifting.

Review: It is always hard to predict just what Nous Klaer Audio might serve up next. In this case, the always-fresh Dutch label looks to Mata Disk for four innovative and rhythmic techno workouts. 'Icon' is a busy one with kinetic rhythms and busy hits that pepper the groove and keep you moving. 'Diffusion' is just as much in a hurry with its squelchy synth blasts and sucky, looped drums but also there are more thoughtful and cosmic pads to bring a different energy. 'Two Sides Of The Same Coin' keeps the restless sense of rhythm alive - nothing here feels tethered to a strict grid. 'Space Brings Us Together' is a final off-kilter techno bumper with more sci-fi synth designs.

Review: It's no wonder Dopplereffekt named their latest EP 'Inifinite Tetraspace'. For starters, a tetrahedron is a 3D triangular pyramid of equal lengths per side. A sine wave, meanwhile, is in auditory form considered the purest, most basic sound - it is also the graph produced by plotting all the ratio points between two sides of a triangle. The logical conclusion is this: infinite tetraspace might be considered the ultimate form of repetitive sound, carrying on forever, triangulating constantly in all directions, never ceasing. Review: This is techno, but not as we know it from the Vigenere. Sparagamos (a fitting name given the word originally means to render, tear apart, or mangle) is behind these freaky beats but we nothing more about the artist. Suffice it to say they sure do have a fine grip of their studio and can manipulate sound in some thrilling ways. The opener is a warp-speed warehouse banger with distorted bass and manic energy, track two explores sludgy acid techno underworlds and track there is a twitchy cosmic workout with serene pads. 'Track 4' is a world of dystopian robotics while the flip side offers tripped-out, double-time dub techno, more acid intensity and experimental mind melters with exceptional sound design.

Review: Aniara's output has always been brilliantly designed for club deployment but could never really be considered as mere tools. The artists who appear on the Swedish imprint have a cultured sound and a knack for crafting maximum impact from minimal elements. Enter Mattias El Masouri who does just that with the sublime 'Time Dilation In Ultraviolet'. It's a hypnotic deep house cut with real drive that's down to the deft broken kick drum patterns, pulsing synth and heady pads that swirl above. 'Inre Dimension' is a 13-minute plus sonic daydream with paddy drums, drumming pads and perfectly airy hi-hats that anchor you in the heart and now as your mind wanders.

Review: Amsterdam-based techno purist Keith Carnal has established his own SEC ND- imprint with plenty of fine and no-frills outings before now. Here he returns to the label and drops his Verbal Response EP which is packed with energetic cuts. 'Cynicism' is a tunnelling groove with train-like drum loops and pulsing synths that bring the edge up top. There is a lo-fi greyscale atmosphere to the techno tension of 'Exorcism' with its smeared chords and 'Altruism' then gets more upright and bouncy with hammering hits and brushed metal drums all making you march. 'Heroism' is last up and brings the most intense sound of the lot thanks to a manic lead.

Review: Sansibar aka Sunny Seppa is fast becoming a large name in underground techno and house. Now, he has opened up his new label called Sin Sistema with the first release titled 'We Rise'. The title track is a pure crusher! This fast-paced corker features a wicked acid line and a beautiful lingering melody that creates an almost acid trance stormer. Things change up quickly with the slow acid wiggle of 'Elastic' that has us comparing it to legendary slow acid tracks like from Jammin Unit. For the second side, 'Sonic Minds' might just be the floor filler of the lot while '2K' is the dancefloor workout monster for the house heads. If 'We Rise' is any indication, Sin Sistema will be a label to buy on the spot.

Review: Munir Nadir has been breaking through in the past few years with essential releases on 4Plae, Nuts On Board and Outcast Planet. Now he's minting a new label called Odd One Tape out of Italy, and bringing his playful, synth-rich sound with him. There's a nod to Italo and 80s electro in the sampling and throbbing, analogue groove of 'Rhythmistic', while 'Bass Jam' tips more towards the early 00s electro house boom a la Tiefschwarz and Tomas Andersson. Opener '2 Another Planet' (Superspace Breakdown mix) has sugary video game melodies raining down like old school Mario or Tetris over thudding deep house kicks. The Delisntr Speed Down mix brings some twitchy acid details while 'Solamente' (Problems mix) is another beguiling mix of 8-bit melodies and supple drums that tap out hypnotic patterns while floating through space. Review: The Take It Easy label returns with a red hot one and limited edition one-sided 12" that features a Bugsy 'ReDrum' of Wema's 'Kiherehere' cut. The original artists are a five-piece Tanzanian outfit founded on community and they have a global approach to sound that plays out here. In Bugsy's hands, it becomes a club-ready cut that fuses house and techno with the original's traditional Tanzanian instrumentals and Afro-Latin rhythms. Add in a fiery vocal and the sort of unrelenting drum funk that sends crowds mad and you have another standout from this fledgling label.

Review: D Dan is fast becoming a fan favorite in the techno scene, with multiple releases on the high profile Lobster Theremin label. This is the third release on his own label, Summerpup, and the second from himself. 'Rising' is a white knuckle ride of hard techno reminiscent of Ben Sims, Surgeon and Bryan Zentz, while 'Freak' and 'Hide & Seek' are demented storytellers in the science fiction genre. Think Jeff Mills and Axis. For the second side, 'Organic Mechanism' is a percussive and eerie workout for the headstrong. Fans of Tresor, Johannes Heil, Regis, Oliver Ho and the like should feel right at home with these uptempo loops and late 90s sounds.

Review: Frame Of Mind has been one of the best techno and house labels in the past couple years hailing from the Netherlands. This is the second appearance for Synaptic Voyager on the label in total. 'Epoch Ten' exhibits a premier example of the quality ambient techno the label has released in recent years. Fans of As One, FBA, Stasis and Sensurreal are sure to gravitate toward this track in particular. The 90s Detroit vibe is here in many respects. 'Ne Plus Ultra' and 'Reverie' are perfect tributes to the lineage there. The robot funk in 'Milestone' is particularly exciting with this early 90s styled foray into UK techno while 'Parallax' gives off a heavy Innovator and early Warp label impressions. The gold in 'Tide' is found in the ever-changing percussion elements that propel it to addiction. Lastly, the title track takes some edge of tension with a great balance of melody over the mechanical loop. Review: Dustin Zahn makes a return to the techno label Blueprint with his latest titled 'Temporary Vandalism'. 'Catharsis' is a metallic sounding banger that thrives on driving the tension to an all-time pitch - all the making of a classic techno record. 'Rotator' adds a bit more of a tribal sound to the looped style killer. The title track goes full tribal reminding us of classic Oliver Ho material. 'Conduit Of Chaos' is perhaps our favorite of the lot with the classy ever-changing rhythm and incessant pressure that continues to rise. For many, Blueprint is the example of proper techno - and that's a theory that's backed up by this dancefloor ammunition.

On the latest single for his Footwork Audio label, 'Universe' toys with big synth strokes and high emotional stakes peppered with incredible sound design flair before the explosive drop, while 'Grooveride' rolls out on a funked up undercarriage and incisive rave stabs. Review: We are always excited to see a new release by S.O.N., as you can be sure to expect some quality techno. This new release is jam-packed with beautiful late night ambient techno. 'Distance Problems' is the title track for the EP and definitely stands out. The deep ambient acid that gives way for a brisk dancefloor knockout is pure sublime producing. 'Fade To Green' is a stunning atmospheric jam that verges on a beautiful acid trance sunset. On Side-2, 'Vanessa' is a floaty ambient techno track that you we just can't get enough of listening here at HQ. Just when we thought we couldn't be any happier, Romanian producer adds his Midas touch to the remix. If you like spacey techno, then suit up.

Review: Budapest's Dalmata Daniel rewire the electro efforts of Timothy K. Fairplay for their ninth 12", which also includes a B-side icing by none other than fellow producer Norwell. These four retrofuturist cosmopolitan jams are heard divided between the two artists, and do well to flaunt the specific valences of their production styles, which, while doing well to stick to the cosmic aesthetic, cannot help but betray unconscious stylistic hallmarks. Fairplay's is as tweezy and kick-phat as ever, with 'Caliber 9' being the obvious choice as the sonic equivalent of a 70s infographic on telecoms gone haywire. Norwell's take on the vibe is breaksier and more muted, with closing number 'Natives' being the cut of choice, burbling in a vat of liquid acid and emotive smoke.
