Bandpass filter inductor based module with distortion & CV control
Notes: The TouellSkouarn Kala Goanv is an inductor based filter. According to this unique design the sound is extraordinary and somewhere in between a phaser-ish band pass, distortion and a gnarly wah-wah with a vintage character.

Even if the module is pretty simple it has LOTS of character. We find an input and one output level control and also a big cut-off controller. The small grey knob controls resonance. A cut-off CV input with attenuator is there as well but that's about CV control. Frequency behaviour is very dependent on the other parameters' settings.

This boutique module is hand-wired, has a beautiful laser-etched perspex faceplate and the big - knob is vintage.

As the module is inductor based it can easily pick up hum and electric fields so keep it away from the power supply transformer.

Self-powered white noise generator
Notes: This cable expands every synth without a noise generator but an external audio input and a 5V source at the tip of a socket (e.g. an expression pedal input) and gives you digital noise. Initially the cable has been developed as an expansion for the Moog products Little Phatty and Minitaur but it works also with other synths etc. The Hirlostek needs to be provided with a 5V voltage, for instance at the tip of a expression pedal socket. A circuit inside of the bigger plug generates a bright digital noise you can use as audio or modulation source. The narrower plug carries the noise signal and is to be connected either with an audio input or a CV input. Hand made, military quality due to good Neutrik jacks.

Powerful, hand-wired tube distortion module featuring American military grade low-noise tubes
Notes: Strakal Orsel is a powerful, hand-wired tube distortion module. As known from other Touell Skouarn circuits, all sockets and control elements have Breton names. (Except for the audio input and output, which are marked with arrows.)

Triodenn (switch) - Here, you can choose between pentode and triode operation for the left tube. Thus, this switch varies the basic sound character.

Boukl Retroaktin (switch/knob) - The switch activates the feedback path. With the potentiometer, you can vary the feedback intensity. High values lead to screaming self-oscillation. At low settings, signals are nicely thickened.

Gounid (knob) - This potentiometer is used for determining the level between the first and the second tube stage.

Ampled (knob) - For setting the degree of distortion. How hardcore would you like your sound to be?

Enklas Modulan (socket) - CV input for influencing the feedback respectively volume. (It works even without the feedback being active.)

Without an input signal, but with wide open feedback, the Strakal Orsel can be used as a beefy effect oscillator. Using its CV input, the pitch can be varied. There is no accurate pitch tracking according to the standard 1 v/octave, though. If you now deactivate the feedback and dial in the right volume and distortion settings, you can enjoy the Orsel's noise floor in its purest form. In other words, the module will emit charming tube noise. Operation as a crude VCA is possible as well.

The following tubes are compatible with the Strakal Orsel:

- 6J1P
- 5654
- 6AK5
- EF95

The Strakal Orsel offered here is equipped with American military grade low-noise tubes, type 5654. This one sounds better than the 6J1P and offer higher gain.

Power consumption: 5 mA at +12 V, 5 mA at -12 V and 350 mA at +5 V

Quadrature sine wave VCO/state variable filter - 18HP
Notes: The SPIN section is a quadrature sine wave oscillator. The GRIND section compares each phase against the input signal, then subtracts the resulting square waves from the input signal. If the spin section is either damped enough or enough signal is fed into it from the GRIND section then it will stop oscillating and become a state variable filter.

The Angle Grinder tracks volts per octave and can be used as a sine wave oscillator with voltage control over harmonic content available at the GRIND OUT. With no input it's four phase related sine outputs (0, 90, 180, and 27 degrees) remain clean from 0.1Hz to over 20kHz and are suitable for quad panning or XY applications.

With an input signal applied the GRIND out ranges from quadrature pulse width modulation (at LFO rate) to sync-like metallic tones (at audio rate). When GRIND is fed into the SPIN then it becomes a nonlinear feedback network with the faders and corresponding CV inputs providing instinctive control over phase cancellation, oscillation, and distortion. The four phase related outputs will become low pass, band pass, high pass, and inverted band pass filter outputs.

The function of the Angle Grinder depends on both the position of the knobs and the presence of an input signal.

6 channel trigger sequencer/clock divider with bipolar CV - 18HP
Notes: MITO (derived from "mitosis") is a 6 channel trigger sequencer that specializes in swingin', divide'n, n' polyrhythm'n. With the turn of a knob, the user can select which division of the incoming clock (BANG!) is output from the corresponding jack (all the way left: divide by 16, all the way right: divide by 1). Each channel is equipped with its own mute switch, allowing the user to turn each individual sequence on and off while other channels keep chuggin' and clockin' along. Global swing can be controlled with the amoeba knob in the top right hand corner of the module. Beneath the amoeba, a global pulse width feature allows the user to lengthen and shorten pulse length of all 6 channels at the same time. This feature is particularly useful when paired with the Muskrat & Kriket, or any other module that reacts proportionally to incoming pulse length. Last but not least, the RESET input will set all division counts back to zero to square up your groove. Each channel will be held HIGH, as long as the incoming voltage is HIGH. This RESET capability allows you to get even more odd metered grooves as it is not dependent on the internal clock of MITO.

All features on MITO can be controlled with bipolar CV, allowing for a wide range of modularity and flexibility. When paired with the Deviant, each knob on the module becomes the anchor point of the groove. As the random voltages from Deviant shift around, creating rhythmic variations by adding and subtracting CV, the position of the knob will dictate how busy or relaxed the groove is. For playability sake, this patching approach is what led to the decision to have the pots as offsets rather than attenuators on MITO. Everything from simple poly-rhythmic structures to nonsensical spewing and sputtering are now at your finger tips with this lovely duo.

Something considered when coding the module was avoiding the use of averaging to determine master clock tempo. In a performance setting when averaging is used, it often translates to the module taking a few pulses to calculate the overall clock speed. With MITO, the divisions are calculated in an "analog" fashion, step by step with each individual clock pulse.

Master clock transport module with comprehensive feature set - 8HP
Notes: The COUNT is a master clock transport with a rich feature set suitable for a small drum system. User has control over master tempo with coarse and fine adjustments as well as bipolar CV modulation capabilities. There is a range switch which allows the master tempo to toggle from slow to fast speeds. The master clock can be initialized with a start/stop switch. Pulse width for all outputs can be controlled with a single knob or bipolar CV.

The five additional outputs at the bottom of the module allow clock sync and distribution to other modules in your system. The START output sends a single pulse when the clock starts to give a reset reference for all other sequencing modules in your system. The four additional outputs are all divisions of the master clock which can be configured with the TOP, BOTTOM, LEFT, RIGHT switches. TOP/BOTTOM switches the divisions from "even" to "odd" metered divisions whereas RIGHT/LEFT switches the divisions from "beats" to "bars." Possible divisions are 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36. The user also has the additional capability of changing these outputs from upbeat to downbeat with the BEAT switch.

Versatile voltage generator module with 16 touch-sensitive pads
Notes: The Twisted Electrons Cells features 16 touch-sensitive pads including integral LED lights to give visual feedback on which pads are activated. The Eurorack style module can be fed up to two 12-bit values (semi-tone quantized or free scale) ranging from 0 to 5 volts. This duophonic rack-style instrument is primarily made for generating low-bit tones but can be also used to modulate parameters such as filters or amps and anything else that features a CV input. You can use the module as a sequencer using the 2 trigger inputs with the left input shifting up a row and the right input shifting right by one column. The handmade design features 2 CV/gate outputs, 2 tune buttons and 2 trigger inputs for optimal versatility, allowing you to use the Twisted Electrons Cells for a range of modulation applications.

Operation Overview:

Feed It:
- Tap a pad to select it
- Hold a tune button to engage the "feeding process" (left button for channel 1, right for channel 2).
- Adjust a knob to the desired pitch (left knob for channel 1, right for channel 2).
- So long as a tune button is held, the output is automatically changed as you move the knob
- Release the button, pitch information is stored to Eeprom

You can toggle between free scaling and semi-tone increment modes by pressing both tune buttons simultaneously.

Play it:
- Press a pad to trigger both gate and CV outputs
- Hold 2 or more pads and Cells will arpeggiate, the rate can now be changed with the left knob. The right knob changes the octave range.

Sequence it:
- Sequence the cells using the 2 trigger inputs. The left input shifts up a row and the right input shifts right by one column
- The gate outputs mirror the trigger inputs.
- Cells requires +5V DC power to operate, as well as +/- 12V. On-board 12V to 5V conversion is provided if 5V isn't available in your system. This is configured via a jumper on the rear of the module

Multiplexer/switch module - sequences up to 8 signals or potentiometers
Notes: SWITCH 8 POTS, 8 SIGNALS:

Octopus is a dual 8 way multiplexer/switch capable of sequencing up to 8 signals or potentiometers. Sequence pitch with pots, switch audio signals with the CV inputs, so many possibilities! The horizontal axis sets the channel, the vertical axis stores 8 channel positions.

The fun begins when you start sequencing or modulating the channel selector either:

- Manually by use of the two large potentiometers
- By overriding the potentiometers with CV (0-5V DC)
- By moving up and down the vertical axis via Triggers (5v DC pulse)

NOTE: The CV inputs are not limited to Control Voltages. You can use octopus to "switch" audio too, like multiple waveforms of an oscillator, or audio tracks of a song!

Complex noise oscillator module - 14HP
Notes: The Interstellar Radio is a faulty transmission line providing several varieties of destructive effects as well as acting as a non-volts/octave complex oscillator when no input is provided.

Interstellar radio converts an audio signal from the input jack to a high frequency pulse train and then back to an audio signal with voltage control over the clock for the up conversion (CARRIER) as well as the down conversion (DEMODULATOR), like a voltage controlled radio transceiver designed for poor reception.

Manipulating these clocks allows for a variety of aliasing, distortion, and frequency modulation type effects. The output is also sent to a comparator along with the input, and the result is available at the "ERROR" output for a ring modulation type effect.

When no input is provided a DC offset (controllable with the input jack) sets a frequency for the up conversion (which is effectively a VCO), the down conversion acts as a modulation oscillator allowing for a fairly radical form of frequency modulation. Two audio signals can be inserted into the clock input jacks and modulate each other in the same way.

The MULTI CASSA is an electronic Eurorack module for percussion sound and special FX. Created by LEP Laboratories, the MULTI CASSA module takes inspiration from the Leploop synth. MULTI CASSA is a combination of two modules with different pitch settings, the first maintains the original pitch, the second increases the pitch to recreate the sound off high tom or snare drum.

TRIG MIX: The rhythm played by the MULTI CASSA is the sum of the two trig IN1 and IN2. The trig mix pot adjusts the mix between the two trig input, which is great for creating polyrhythms.

FREQUENCY: Adjusts the pitch of the sound, also effects the resonance.

RESONANCE: Adjust the resonance, i.e. the damping time of the case. Beyond a certain level the MULTI CASSA can go into permanent oscillation. The level at which the oscillation begins varies with frequency.

DISTORTION: Adjusts the level of signal distortion.

Drum & Filter Module with powerful and quite dirty sound character
Notes: Bongo comes equipped with two trigger inputs. A potentiometer allows you to crossfade between them. The sound varies depending on the level of incoming trigger signals. With just one input patched, the knob can be used as a tone control for treble attenuation. This behavior is not surprising, as the Bongo is basically a pinged filter. Accordingly, the sound shaping parameters are called frequency and resonance. The cutoff potentiometer is slightly erratic. Small changes sometimes have a huge impact on the module's sound. The resonance leads the Bongo rather early into violent self-oscillation.

The filter is followed by a distortion circuit. It not only adds dirt to sounds, but also removes a lot of bass. Very important for creating "real" bongos. Without any distortion, the results are more reminiscent of bass drums or low toms.

The inputs can not only be fed with triggers, but audio signals as well. Patched like this, the Bongo acts as a filter. The sound qualities remain the same. Depending on the knobs' positions, the sound is rough to brutal and more or less dirty.

Bass Drum & Filter Module with two trigger inputs 4HP
Notes: Cassa has two trigger inputs between which you can crossfade unsing the MIX potentiometer. So simple and so brilliant ... mix two different trigger sequences, blend between them, create fill-ins or connect a manual gate and fire some extra drums with your finger!
FREQ sets the drum frequency, RES controls decay time; at long decays the Cassa starts oscillating in an obscure way and starts screaming (no, it's no self- oscillation, that's schreaming!). DIST is a pretty wild distortion. Gabba musicians will love it!

Attention: module abuse!:
As the module is based on a filter which resonates when being "pinged" by a trigger signal at the audio input and then creates a percussive sound it's not far-fetched to inject audio signals instead triggers int othe Cassa. FREQ is cutoff frequency and RES the filter resonance, just as expected. But both act pretty unusual in this case for a filter. It phases more than it filters, the resonance roars and the distortion does the rest...
Instead of using two audio signals you might use one trigger and one audio signal - and the Cassa will indeed generate a drum and process the audio signal at the same time. Weird but possible. Instantly it was possible to generate a wobbly Skrillex simulation, read: saw mill dubstep aka "Filth".

Useful quirky filter and distortion unit 6HP
Notes: Cassa CV comes equipped with two trigger inputs. A mix potentiometer enables the user to crossfade between both instances. Thanks to the dual design, it is possible to mix signals coming from two sequencers or other trigger sources to create complex polyrhythms, fills and such.

For shaping bass drums, Cassa CV offers frequency and resonance potentiometers. Additionally, there are control voltage inputs plus attenuators for both parameters. Furthermore, the strength of incoming trigger signals influences the sound. Low resonance settings lead to crisp, rather harsh kicks. Using the frequency potentiometer, it is possible to vary between slim and extremely bulgy results. High resonance values make the circuit scream bloody murder.Still not hardcore enough yet? Then dial in the Cassa CV's distortion circuit and listen to some of the most obnoxious bass drums on planet earth.

As the Cassa CV is basically a filter, which gets excited by trigger signals to generate sound, it is possible to use the inputs for audio material as well. The results don't have much in common with what you might expect from a VCF. The module colors audio material intensely, squeals like a stuck pig and adds a boatload of dirt.

Random looping sequencer - silver faceplate, 12HP
Notes: Permutation is a set of random sequencers that use a digital shift register to generate unpredictable CV and gate patterns that can be locked into repeating loops. The concept is based on the Turing Machine, an open source module designed by Tom Whitwell.

Permutation retains the core functionality of the Turing Machine while adding new features such as dedicated outputs for each bit of the shift register, CV inputs for all parameters, and an internal bipolar VCA. Locked sequences are also saved across power cycles.

14HP analog voltage controlled filter in Eurorack format
Notes: The VCF-74 is a 14HP voltage controlled filter in Eurorack format. VCF-74 features a dual analogue high-pass and low-pass filter, cascaded (series, from HP > LP). The discrete diode filter circuit is inspired by the 1970s Univox Mini-Korg synthesizer's "Traveller" filter section which provides warm, organic sound to your modular system. However, this design was not only adapted for Eurorack, but is feature enhanced for a wide array of possible filter characteristics.

A stage boost switch allows you to drive the 2nd filter section (Low-Pass) with a +5.3dB signal boost from the High-Pass output signal creating a warm saturation and varied resonance to signal ratio/dynamics. Independent manual resonance controls per filter section allows you to fine-tune a wide variety of focused sound. Input and Output level controls allow you to optimize dynamic range, including how hard you drive the filter--which drastically changes the dynamic interplay between signal and harmonic resonance. Both High-Pass and Low-Pass circuits have independent cutoff controls. Independent CV inputs for cutoff and resonance of each filter section, and attenuation/gain for CV to cutoff provide superior control over filter behaviour. The VCF-74 can be set up as a Low-Pass, High-Pass, or Band-Pass filter. Width of the Band-Pass can be adjusted by simply dialling in the offset controls appropriately.

What are the changes for the new MK2 version of VCF-74?

- The faceplate will look exactly the same, except the addition of "MK2" nomenclature screen printed
- The audio signal path will have slightly lower frequency response as a result of component value changes
- The audio signal path will now use fewer coupling capacitors (more direct-coupled circuits mean better performance, less slewing).
- Added buffer circuits at the input and final filter-to-output stage (which will improve performance)
- Added calibration trim-pots for resonance control.
- Revised "local" power supply filtering scheme to improve PSR for the discrete (Class-A) filter stages.
- Added ESD protection (ESD suppressor diodes) to each front panel jack.
- Changed power inlet header from 16P to 10P.
- Widened range for LOW PASS cutoff control

Note: Depth is now 29mm (current draw is the same as 41mA for +12V, and 48mA for -12V

8-bit wavetable oscillator for Eurorack with Uni-Five companion module
Notes: The Oscitron is an 8-bit wavetable oscillator for Eurorack. It is based around the Atmegatron audio engine but also has a lot of different features, which make it more suited to the modular environment.

One of the key differences is the ability to capture wavetables via an audio input. There is also a "continuous capture" mode which produces vocoder-style effects.

The resolution of the audio engine can be altered from the Atmegatron's 32 sample wavetables, down to 16 and up to 128 samples, creating radically different timbres.

There is a clock input that can be routed to many different parameters. There are 5 CV inputs for controlling the most common parameters. 16 patches can be stored internally. As with the Atmegatron, different software can be uploaded to the Oscitron. A port of the Odytron software is ready for release in the first quarter of 2017.

Uni-Five companion module:

The Oscitron comes bundled with the Uni-Five companion module. This is a utility module that takes 2 bipolar +5/-5V signals and 1 unipolar 8V signal and converts them to unipolar 5V signals, suitable for the Oscitron's inputs. This is most useful for bipolar LFOs and envelopes. There is also an attenuator on each input. The modules are also available separately.

Play:

- 8-bit wavetable module
- Unique wavetable PWM Synthesis audio engine.
- Quick and intuitive controls, no complex menu systems
- White aluminium faceplate with walnut side panels
- Nearly all parameters controllable by CV

Random looping sequencer - silver faceplate, 6HP
Notes: Permutation is a set of random sequencers that use a digital shift register to generate unpredictable CV and gate patterns that can be locked into repeating loops. The concept is based on the Turing Machine, an open source module designed by Tom Whitwell.

Permutation retains the core functionality of the Turing Machine while adding new features such as dedicated outputs for each bit of the shift register, CV inputs for all parameters, and an internal bipolar VCA. Locked sequences are also saved across power cycles.

Polivoks-inspired module for Eurorack format - 46HP
Notes: The idea of the Polivoks Mini analogue synthesiser came into mind in 1990, as the junior version of its older brother well known Polivoks full synth. The aim was to develop a way simpler and lighter device that has less components, offers the same broad capabilities, and removes possible flaws of the Polivoks full synth. As the result of this research a new minimalistic schematic appeared. It has fewer controls that are compensated by greater functionality.

The overall design of the Polivoks Mini is made in collaboration with Ms. Olympiada Kuzmina, Polivoks full synth concept designer.

Take advantage of the instability!

The Eternal Spring Filter is quite different than most filters. It belongs to that category of sound modifiers which could be called an "effect", which is to say that it doesn't just filter the sound in a regular manner but also adds a considerable amount of edge/personality. At times it sounds like a wavefolder and when you plug a nice slow LFO into the CV input, you can really get some intense sounds out of it.

At lower drive settings, this filter adds noise, grit, and harmonics, while at higher settings the sound of the filter takes over and replaces your input with sparks and sludge. It sounds great on synth leads, on basslines, and really adds a lot of movement to drones. It is a weird beast which is capable of some different sounds than other filters in your system. On top of all of that, this filter is not temperature compensated and has plenty of musical instability. The cut-off and Q move around nicely to add energy to your incoming audio.

Drone module with five low harmonic triangle oscillators - 12HP
Notes: This module was designed with a very specific purpose in mind. Born out of a need to find the space in between tones; to achieve pulsing; wider droning; wanting to be able to fit the power of many oscillators into a little package.

It isn't a crazy CV laden feature monster. But it doesn't need to be. It does what it is asked to do over and over and again.

This has a very different sound than a squarewave based multi-oscillator. The Dronebank breathes and moves. Create chords, gate the tones, filter them, ring modulate.

Use it as an FM source, combine it with delay, let it hypnotize you. Most importantly, make music with it. Or use it for mind control experiments.

Production sequencer synth module in Eurorack format
Notes: Sequencer 1 is a top-of-the-line x0x-flavored Eurorack sequencer, for controlling up to four voices at once.

With Micro SD card storage and software updates, backing up and updating are as easy as dragging and dropping. Four banks of 16 patterns (each up to 64 steps) plus follow actions for pattern chaining make live performance a breeze. Front-panel one-push access to all commonly-used features means no menu diving, no rote memorization of hex codes, and no confusion. 1V/Oct, Hz/V and gate/inverse gate/S-Trig outputs mean it'll drive both modern Eurorack and vintage analog synths. The three tempo-synced LFOs with 30+ waveshapes are worth the price of admission alone.

In short, Sequencer 1 is, we feel, an incredibly useful production sequencer, in both the studio and on stage, and the feature list will only get longer, with a clear roadmap of updates and additions, and all the programming knowledge and experience that Audio Damage can bring to bear on this, our flagship product.

6 channel mixer based on the mixer of Buchla’s 100 series
Notes: The Model 106 is a 100% discrete transistor based 6 input audio mixer.

Functionally, it allows the user to manually mix 6 signals into 1 output (All), or it may be used as 2 independent 3 into 1 mixers ("1-3" side and "4-6" side).

Aurally, the all transistor signal path adds its own unique sonic signature, imparting a subtle lo-fi warmth and saturation to the sound.

Additionally, the "All" output is inverted with respect to the "1-3" and "4-6" outputs. This feature can be exploited to creative effect.

Control voltage processor - 14HP
Notes: The 156 is an accurate reproduction of the original 156, however it's accuracy also means that it's functionality is based entirely on the needs of a cohesive system designed in the mid 60's. It cannot work with negative voltages, the maximum gain is set at 1:1, and the transistor core makes it inherently nonlinear.

The 156M is a modern update of the original 156 that we feel both works within the paradigm of the original 100 series and helps to interface with modern Eurorack gear. Like the 156, the 156M consists of two independent voltage processors. Each side can mix between 2 independent control voltages. This mix can then be offset by either a positive voltage or (unlike the original) a negative voltage. The mixed and offset control voltages can then be attenuverted - which allows the user to set the gain in either a positive or negative direction and can also boost the gain to approximately 1.5x the original signal. In essence, the combination of these three facilities allow you to mix, offset, compress, expand, invert, amplify, or scale any CV source.

Dual attack generator featuring two ASR envelopes with linear voltage curves
Notes: The Model 180 is 100% discrete transistor core dual channel A/D A/H/D function generator (envelope). A trigger or gate signal greater than 2.5v at the "trigger" input causes the output CV to linearly ramp up to its maximum value at a speed set by the "attack time" pot. Once reaching the maximum CV output (set from the factory at 5v but easily adjustable via trimmer) the module will hold at this level for a static duration set by the "note duration" pot, or will hold at its maximum level as long as the trigger input is high. This behaviour is selected with the "controlled internally" vs. "controlled by trigger length" switch. At the end of the "hold" period the CV output will ramp back down to approximately 0v at a rate set by the "decay time" pot.

Like many "west coast" function generators, the envelope cannot be retriggered until the attack phase is complete, allowing for some function as a clock divider etc. The attack, hold, and decay times can be set very fast, and the module can easily create percussive blips as well as longer drawn out envelope shapes.

Control voltage processor - 14HP
Notes: The Model 156 was likely the first "CV manipulation" tool ever available to modular synthesists. In the original 100 series environment, the 156 was used as a front end to nearly every other module with a CV input. The majority of CV inputs throughout the 100 series do not have associated attenuators or offsets built into the modules, and thus they relied on the 156 to scale, offset, and attenuate the voltages traveling around the system. The 156 consists of 2 independent "voltage processors" Each with a control to mix the two inputs, add a voltage offset (positive only), and then a control to mix between the external CV to be processed and the internal offset. In addition, the "B" channel has an inverting input. The 156 is as close a replica to the original 156 as possible, and is built entirely of discrete analogue components.

Dual sine-sawtooth generator based on Model 158 from the Buchla 100 series
Notes: The Model 158 is a dual oscillator created out of an entirely discrete transistor core. It consists of two independent and identical sides each with a front panel tuning knob, a frequency modulation input and attenuator, and a knob to fade smoothly between saw and sine waves. The RED PANEL model 158 is based off of the original "A" variant of the 158 oscillator.

The 158 was one of the very first voltage controlled oscillators ever produced. As such it contains many particular quirks/rawness of this first generation of synthesis. The exponential scaling of the oscillator is far from accurate, there is no temperature compensation, quick changes in pitch produce a slewing effect, and the saw waveform only vaguely resembles a saw wave through part of its range. It is as accurate a recreation as we believe is possible with the components available today. We performed hundreds of listening tests to find suitable replacements for obsolete transistors, and hand select multiple transistors on each individual unit to ensure that they have the proper sound.

Nutube-based distortion module - 18HP
Notes: Gloriously grimy valve distortion for Sonocurrent's Eurorack debut. Subtle saturation through to filthy self-oscillation via Korg's low-power Nutube triodes. Nasty but nice.

Supplier notes:
The M T2D dual triode distortion is a Nutube-based distortion module for the Eurorack format, offering two independent channels which can be patched separately for parallel processing, stereo, or multiple sources, or used in series for more complex distortion of a single source (or simply extreme distortion settings).

Spectral tilt filters before each triode stage alternately boost or cut high and low frequencies for different harmonic emphasis. These filters also affect the feedback loops, and can interact in very interesting ways with high feedback settings. The individual tube bias controls can also have a strong influence in combination with high feedback levels, in addition to more subtle shaping of the distortion when feedback levels are low.

Independent control of input level, tube bias, feedback level, and dry/wet mix is available for each channel, with CV inputs for the bias and mix controls. The CV inputs for the mix controls also have dedicated attenuators. A global plate voltage switch offers two different character options, for either smoother distortion or more severe clipping.

Quad VC Gate - 14HP
Notes: The Model 110 is 4 independent transistor based voltage controlled amplifiers behind one panel. Each VCA (or "gate" in the original terminology) consists of an audio input with an attenuator, a CV input, and 2 outputs. The VCA's are AC coupled - meaning that they will not pass slow (or static) control voltages. The VCA's are calibrated to unity (an input of a 10v peak to peak audio wave, will produce a 10v peak to peak audio wave at output) when 5v is applied to the CV input and the attenuator is at approximately the 3'oclock position.

Notes: Unlike the later (and better known) Model 292, the original low pass gate - the Model 110 is entirely transistor based (rather than vactrol based like the 292), and is much faster.

MIDI to CV interface - controls up to 4 CV synthesisers individually or as a polysynth - 32HP
Notes: Polygene is a Eurorack polyphonic MIDI to CV converter with 4 voice outputs that can be used to play your CV synths/modules as a 4 voice polysynth.

Simple to use, it's the perfect way to have MIDI control over 4 CV synths, to play together as one poly synth.

Connect to 4 mono synths, e.g. Analogue Solutions Nyborg, or connect to Eurorack modules set up as 4 synth voices.

The Arpeggiator has no nonsense operation harking back to the days of early Roland synths such as the Jupiter 8 and SH101. The Arpeggiator can also be used as a simple 16 note step sequencer, and also plays back the velocity amount that was used. The Arpeggiator will control CV synths, but the note info is also sent to the MIDI Out socket as MIDI notes, so you can have it play a MIDI synth.
