The A/B Switch selects between A and B and the middle position of the switch is a "mute", works with any kind of signal (cv or audio) and is bidirectional.

Notes: The 'Stereo Sum' is a unity gain summing mixer that features four stereo input pairs summed as pairs to two independent mix outs or all as a single combined mix. It is a useful utility for efficiently combining outputs of multiple stereo sources, such as the MEGA-TANG and Jumble Henge mixers or multiple MFX returns. The inputs accept stereo or mono signals (via normalisation) which can be audio or CV (module is DC coupled) and the top mixer's outputs are normalised to the bottom mixer section meaning if the upper output is left unpatched the two upper inputs will be added to the lower output.

Notes: Drawing inspiration from the MMI Maxima, the MMI Helios is intended as a middle ground between the gestural control surface of the Maxima and the fingertip control of the smaller MMI.

Less density, but a much higher degree of patch control is the key point of the Helios, which complements other MMI devices very well, and can be joined with other Helios (Helii?) to form larger and creative control surfaces.

The design is greatly simplified compared to the original MMI, with only two I/O jacks - either can function as input and output, and their interaction with each other is determined by touching both plates simultaneously to form a connection, or in cooperation with other MMI devices.

Available in a "right" and "left" version - one is an exact mirror image of the other, which makes it suitable for having two units adjacent to one another.

Notes: The Herzlich Man Machine Interface - a beloved instrument, but what if there was even more of it? An MMI with more than one dimension? An MMI arranged in a manner of... matrix?

With operation identical to it's little brother, the MMI Matrix allows the user to patch inputs to outputs by connecting zig-zagged patterns together with fingers, fruits, cables, pizza slices or any other conductive source. The labyrinth patterns will immediately connect the zig-zags immediately adjacent, whether above and below, or on each side. Furthermore, the two labyrinths within labyrinths will connect ALL adjacent inputs and outputs, which may lead to beautiful disasters or otherworldly insights.

As with its predecessor, the MMI Matrix is fully touch and pressure sensitive, reacting to the amount of pressure exerted, the amount of skin connecting, and the resistive quality of your body. Incredibly easy to perform with, the MMI Matrix offers new and far more advanced ways to patch your performances, whether CV, triggers or audio signals. Create reverb swells that vary between different types of reverb, use multiple fingers and labyrinth patterns to mix trigger signals into complex polyrhythms or create beautiful chords by combining various pitch inputs with a chord oscillator. The MMI Matrix also integrates very well with it's little brother, so there is absolutely no need to hold back!

Oh, and as always, it uses NO power! But it will take up 10hp of space in your system. A fair deal!

Notes: The Om is a slim, passive 2hp LPG with characterful resonance. Taking notes from its bigger brother, the Omen, the Om offers similarly beautiful resonant LPG action in half the size and skiff-friendly depth.

In a convergence of old-school LPG design and more modern components, the Om boasts a single -6dB resonant filter, custom hand-built vactrol and no less than three cutoff modes designed to inspire your next sounds.

Although the little brother of the Omen, the Om brings a distinct sound to the table. Do not mistake the Om for an Omen sawn in half, as they will both provide musically interesting and useful sounds to your setup.

Exactly as with the Omen, care has been taken to create a circuit with near-zero audio bleed and the best possible characteristics for a passive LPG. Of course, many of the natural features of vactrols remain, such as subtle memory effect when engaging the vactrol for long periods.

Finally, you receive maximum blinkenlights as an LED on the front panel simulates the action of the vactrol, so you'll always know what's going on under the hood. No collection of fancy LPG's is complete without the Om(en)!

Notes: You want less sound, and you want it fast. You want a mute that doesn't take up any power, a mute that doesn't take up a lot of space, and a mute that accepts three signals. You want a mute that's nice and clicky, and a mute that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Notes: In recent years, stereo signal paths have increasingly found their way into the wonderful world of Eurorack synthesis - so naturally, utilities should follow suit. Introducing the Herzlich PSA, a simple solution to a problem you might not even realize you had. Far from just useful as an attenuator for audio sources in mixdowns, the PSA can also be used to bring audio down to more managable levels (such as line level), attenuate multiple signals simultaneously (like increasing the modulation depth of two LFO's at the same time! It's like having two hands, but with one hand!) and even function as a multiple: Attenuator 1 is normalled to Attenuator 2, so multing your stereo signal (or two mono signals) while attenuating the two signals individually is easy as pie.

There's not much else to say, except that it's passive, and draws no power - and it looks great!

Notes: MIXZ is a multi-channel mixing module for mixing audio, CV, and gate signals with excellent linear response and low noise. Balancing a clear visual layout and multiple mixers in a small footprint makes the MIXZ easy to use in a variety of configurations within a modular synth. Its high-quality analog mixing circuitry makes for a great sounding mixer with plenty of headroom, providing a smooth, organic merge of dynamics and excellent separation of mixing sections and channels. MIXZ has three sections:

Mixer A: a low-noise, 4-channel mixer with independent gain control for each channel.
Mixer B: a low- noise, 4-channel mixer with master gain control.
MixBus: a multi-channel mixer that mixes signals from modules utilizing the Tiptop MixBus.

Mixer A and B can be configured as either two independent, 4-channel mixers or as a single 8-channel mixer. If the output of Mixer A is not in use, then Mixer A will be routed internally to Mixer B forming the 8-channel mixer.

Tiptop MixBus is a new method we have developed to mix audio signals through the Eurorack power bus board without patch cables. A little bit of magic, eh? Although this technique is not ideal for a low-noise mix, we found it to be useful for some applications, including mixing our drum modules, which all have a MixBus-enabled output. The result is that your drum modules are always available and mixed on the master out of the MIXZ with a flip of a switch. This will save you time and frees up cables for repatching sound again and again, while keeping the channels of MIXZ free to bring other signals into the mix.

Notes: The 2hp Buff is a buffered multiple capable of splitting an input signal to multiple outputs. Due to its active architecture, inputs retain their full integrity as they are copied to multiple destinations. One input signal can be copied to six outputs, or two inputs can be copied to three outputs each. The Buff is especially great for splitting pitch or audio signals where signal integrity is critical. Keep your signals in shape with Buff.

Notes: MISO is a multipurpose utility module, a laboratory for synthesizing control voltage signals and audio. MISO combines multiple CV tools into one module for making complex CV shapes at the output stage. The name comes from the four main functions available: Mix, Invert, Scale, and Offset.

MISO's 2 sections (1/2 IN and A/B IN) are identical. Each section has two inputs that can be used to Mix signals, Invert polarity/shape, Scale magnitude and Offset voltage. Each function can be used independently or simultaneously with the total shape summed to the mix output.

At the centre of the module is another processor, an accurate smooth linear voltage-controlled crossfader that mixes equally between the outputs of the top and the bottom MISO sections. Feed the MISOs with envelopes, LFOs, Sequences to create new shapes and then crossfade them manually or with CV using the centre section for even further complexity of shapes and animation of control signals. Crossfade between the waveforms of a VCO or audio samples with CV for more motion.

There are an endless number of ways to patch MISO with unexpected and inspiring results. MISO is the kind of module that gives modular synthesizers its incredible replay value, rewarding hours of creative explorations and its experimental and non-traditional mixing.

MISO offers a lot in a small comfortable module that matches Tiptop's system look with clean white faceplate styling. A red/yellow indicator light next to each section makes it easy to see signals and visualize polarity.

Notes: Clk is a voltage controlled clock generator with all the features a master clock needs. It has an extremely wide range from ten seconds between pulses well into audio rate. In addition, the pause button and CV input provide an expressive feature that is all too often missing in a modular setup. Stop using LFOs or other modulation sources for your master clock, and let Clk do what it's best at.

Notes: Erica Pico RND is combined LFO/random source module.

It generates sine LFO waves, white noise, S&H CV and some interesting stuff - random triggers and pulse wave with random duty circle; basically, everything, you need, to bring some uncertainty in your modular setup.

The Pico RND comes equipped with five outputs, they emit the following signals:

Notes: Tilt is the first in Laine's series of core modules, which will take cues from the main product line and strip back the features so both the module width and cost can be shrunk dramatically.

Comprising an 'Ambler' style tilt EQ network similar to the 'Stilts' topology, Tilt allows simultaneous cut and boost of low and high frequencies using a single control.

Tilt control circuits are known for the transparency of their cut and boost curves, coupled with the inherent emphasis gained from cutting one end of the frequency spectrum whilst boosting at the opposite end.

It sounds pretty good on all audio source material but is especially suited to tracking drums, guitar and lead, or manipulating effects sends and returns.

With the control knob at 12o'clock the sound passed is neutral. Turning the control knob clockwise will boost high and cut low frequencies pivoting from a fixed mid-range point. Turning the control anti-clockwise below 12 o clock will in turn boost low frequencies and cut the highs.

In addition to the EQ there is a soft clipping network which will begin to saturate signals over 15 volts peak to peak.

Notes: The MST Unity Gain Mixer adds input signals together and combines them for a summed output. For example, if you put in a 1V source and a 3V source, the output will be 4V. It's mainly used for CV, but it can also be used to combine audio signals together.

A unity gain mixer is handy in several ways:
Combining gates and triggers. Plug a few sequencer steps into the unity gain inputs, then run the output to a drum synth, VCA, envelope, etc.
Re-shaping two CV sources with a single envelope.
Combining different wave shapes or LFOs to make crazy sounds.
Controlling the CV of one source with the CV of another source. Just plug the CV out of a sequencer into and an expression pedal/touchable CV out into the unity gain inputs.

Notes: The Kontact MIC is a lo-fi theme park. It's a Eurorack microphone preamp with a piezo contact mic built into the panel.

The creative applications are endless: finger percussion/rubbing/scratching, guitar input (works surprisingly well with just a little lofi crunch), acoustic sources to CV, etc.

The PCB fibreglass has quite a nice rough texture - rubbing it with a finger or a plectrum creates quite a wide range of sounds. The back of the panel is plated to expand the surface area of the contact mic. The mic will also pick up all the physical sounds in your modular- patching, cables rustling, switches, fingers on knobs - without picking up airborne sounds i.e. the sound your modular is making. At very high sound levels will pick up vibrations from the speaker output and start to feedback.

The module will work with both DIYed contact mics made from inexpensive piezo transducers, off the shelf contact mics (often called Piezo Pickups) made for guitars and violins which you can pick up for ten bucks from Amazon or eBay or more bespoke mics like the popular Jez Riley French models (including hydrophones!) which are firmly aimed at Sound Designers.

It is an easy way to bring environmental noise and feedback into a modular system, inspired by the early days of electroacoustic music in Paris and Cologne, and by the contact microphone and phonograph cartridge experiments of John Cage, Gordon Mumma, Robert Ashley and Nicholas Collins.

Notes: The 4093 Chaos NAND Synth, in Eurorack form! The 4093 Chaos NAND Synth is a super-modifiable noise generator that will knock your socks off with its sonic potential: low pulsing drones, random robotic chaos, and high-pitched laser sounds!

A great project to begin your explorations into the world of DIY sound synthesis, the PCB was designed with the beginner in mind. Board-mountable switches, socketed IC, hands-on knobs and switches for tone control, and a detailed silkscreen PCB to help you solder components right the first time.

Notes: This module offers a four-quadrant-control for CVs via its joystick.

The module can act either as CV source at its four outputs, or as four-quadrant attenuator for the CV inputs. Beyond this, a mix of the input CVs according to the joystick position is provided separately.

Another feature is a gate output that is controlled by pressing the joystick handle.

The joystick remains in each position - there is no automatic "return to centre".

The JOYSTICK module can operate in two different modes:

Quadrants independent: In this mode, all outputs are zero when the joystick is in centre position
Overlapped: In this mode, each quadrant output fades from full to zero over the whole range to the opposite corner.

Together with a quad VCA / mixer (available soon from tangible waves) you can use the JOYSTICK also for mixing/blending four independent audio sources.

Notes: Module A-143-9 is a derivative of our planned thru-zero quadrature VCO. It is a voltage controlled sine LFO with 4 outputs. The phase shift between the outputs is 90 degrees. The sine shifted by 90 degrees is also called cosine, the sine shifted by 180 degrees is nothing but the inverted sine, and the sine by 90 degrees is nothing but the inverted cosine.

The frequency range is from some minutes to frequencies beyond audio with three ranges selected by a toggle switch:

- Switch position H: about 30 Hz ... 3.5 kHz with the manual frequency control ("Frq."), beyond 20 kHz with additional external CV
- Switch position M: about 1 Hz ... 150 Hz with the manual frequency control ("Frq.")
- Switch position L: about 0,1 Hz ... 10 Hz with the manual frequency control ("Frq."), down to several minutes with additional external CV

Two exponential frequency control inputs are available: CV1 without attenuator and CV2 with polarizer. Consequently the module can be used even as an experimental sine VCO but does not feature an exact 1V/oct CV input! The precision CV input will be left to the thru-zero quadrature VCO.

Two LEDs display the positive and negative share of the sine output.

The core of the module is a so-called quadrature circuit that generates a sine a cosine signal with very low distortion. The quality of the sine/cosine signals are much better than those generated by a waveform converter with a sawtooth or triangle signal as starting point.

The output levels are about 5 Vss (+/-2.5V) but can be adjusted internally by a trimming potentiometer (P5 "Shape").

- External sine/cosine oscillator for the frequency shifter A-126
- Modulations with pure sine/cosine waveforms
- Quadrature/barberpole effects (e.g. with the voltage controlled mixer A-135)
- Experimental sine/cosine VCO (e.g. for FM sounds)

Many users suggested to add a common output level control, i.e. four VCAs with one common control (manual + CV without attenuator + CV with polarizer) for the output levels. This is why we also designed the Quad VCA module A-132-2 with the possibility of an internal default connection to the four outputs of the A-143-9 (no soldering required, short 10 pin flat cable with removable connectors on both ends).

The A-143-9 is also a meaningful addition for the Frequency Shifter module A-126. It enables frequency shifting even below 50 Hz generating e.g. these mellow beat sounds with a few Hz frequency shifting only. The thru zero version of the A-143-9 with temperature compensation is the module A-110-4.

Notes: Featuring the AS3360 IC (based on the classic CEM3360 IC), this linear response VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier) is suitable for both audio and CV signals.

It would also be the ideal match with a modulation source such as an exponential envelope generator.

Notes: Attenuverter (AV) is one of Wavefonix's most versatile modules; allowing the polarity of an input source such as an envelope or a ramp wave from an LFO to be inverted.

Additionally, an offset voltage between approximately -10V to +10V can be applied to the input source. The module can also act as an independent CV source when there is no input.

Notes: Wavefonix's Logarithmic Attenuator (AT) features three logarithmic unity-gain attenuators; especially suitable for attenuating audio signals. However, it can also be used to attenuator CV signals.

Notes: Unlock the potential of the Quad LFO with the LFO Phase Expander. Each expander gives you three outputs that duplicate the LFO with a fixed phase difference. The first ranges from 0- to 180-, the second from 90- to 270-, and the last from 180- to 360-. Along with the original output, this gives you four phases of modulation. These are easily tuneable to quadrature (all knobs centred), but also any arbitrary phase relationship. You can attach up to four expanders, one for each LFO, giving you up to sixteen modulation sources.

A multiphase LFO is extremely useful for building rhythmic modulations, particularly when paired with analogue logic, such as provided by Babel. Further, regardless of the waveform selected on the Quad LFO, the output of the Phase Expander is always a sine wave. This gives you the useful possibility of having three rhythmically related phases of an LFO synced to a clock signal.

Other than rhythmic modulations, the most common use of a multiphase sine LFO is in creating panning and crossfade controls that sound correct using only one or more VCAs. This is useful in panning sounds back and forth, rotating a sound in quadraphonic space, creating Shepard tones, etc.

Even when you don't have a specific need for exact phase relationships, a multiphase LFO gives you a convenient way to expand your palette of potential modulators, adding three related but distinct waves.

Notes: An exact hardware replica of the Mutable Instruments Ears, which is based on the Music Thing Modular's Mikrophonie.

The ridges on the panel are less defined than on the Mutable version, so the texture is a bit more subtle.

Notes: The 3:1 Mixer has two section of 3 inputs to a single output. Each input will be mixed at 1/3 of the level of the input. Each section has an LED indicator indicating activity on the output. Section 1 is normalled to section 2 so it can easily behave as a 6:1 mixer as well.

Module power connector can be connected either way.

Notes: An interface for the case 1/4" jacks in Intelljel cases. The jacks are marked as if they are part of the case, so the jacks marked out, require an input.

The module sports both input and output for either a consumer line level (0.447Vpk) or a professional line level (1.095Vpk). These levels are controllable via jumper on the back of the module. It can also have a single input and output channel switched to pedal level. The case output is fed to the headphone amp that has a corresponding level control. The module otherwise does not have any level control and relies on using a VCA or other module to perform any level controls.

The module can essentially be run in one of three modes:

1) Stereo line level in and out

2) Stereo line level in and out via the left side and mono pedal in and out on the right side. In this mode the stereo line levels leverage TRS on the 1/4" jacks. You can use the included 3.5mm couplers to get TRS on the 3.5mm side.

3) Mono line level in and out via the left side and mono pedal in and out on the right side.

For Palette 64hp users only have two 1/4" jacks. You can choose if you want to use the case jacks as either inputs, outputs, or one input and one output.

How:

Plug a cable in one of the sockets and the other end specularly on the opposite side. Check if the blue LEDs light up steady in a number equal to the cores of the cable you are testing. Wiggle the wire back and forth just to be sure that all the individual cores are firmly connected.

Due to its configuration, the connection is considered true only if there is no continuity between the adjacent wires or discontinuity in that specific core. This smart feature will avoid false positives.

On top there are two LEDs indicators directly wired to the power lines to check if the -12V or +12V PSU power lines are misbehaving.

Inputs:

CV inputs 1 and 3 - CV input for bidirectional attenuation. When input cables aren't plugged into these jacks, 5v reference signals will be used.
CV input 2 - CV input for either unidirectional or bidirectional attenuation. When an input cable isn't plugged into this jack, a 5v reference signal will be used.
Switch - toggles CV input 2 between unidirectional and bidirectional attenuation.

Outputs:

CV outputs 1, 2 and 3 - attenuated CV output. If no cables are plugged into an output jack, it is summed into the subsequent output jack.

A-138s is a simple but useful 4-in-2 mixing tool. It has four inputs available. Each input is equipped with an attenuator (Level) and a panning control that is used to distribute the signal to the left and right output. Beyond stereo mixing it is equally suited to create variable parallel routings. For example: Any of the four inputs may be routed in variable intensity to feed two filters.

You may regard the A-138s as a smaller version of the A-138m Matrix Mixer.

Inputs and outputs are DC coupled, i.e. the module can be used for the mixing of control signals too.
