Canada's Funky Lester duo have travelled below the radar in recent years, but the true funky collectors know them very well and will surely lap this up once they see a fresh 7" reissue of the duo's classic "Amigos" tune, a sweet part track featuring the Hispanic vocals of Don Gringos and the perfect balance of 4/4 beats and brass instruments. "Bboy Trombone" is a different sort of beast, an instrumental cut with a fast-moving percussion and cinematic horns wrapped up in a Brazilian jazz coating. Funky, easy on the ears and built for you to move. Cop it before it's gone!
