So far the What's In The Box imprint has two releases to it's name with EPs from The Saint Petersburg Disco Spin Club (DJ Kirill Sergeew's 2012 leap into production) and an EP from Darko Kustura. The labels third release comes from Russian producer Volta Cab, who has matched a prolific nature with a high standard of production since his debut in 2011. "Always In The Place" sounds like it could be Volta Cab's siren call to a still distant European summer, in the heart of a deep eastern winter. Plucked strings washed in reverb mix with breathy vocals and steel drum sounding synth percussion, while the Session Victim remix doesn't deviate too far from the original, it adds a pulsating synth slaved to a pumping sidechain. Good Guy Mikesh & Filburt's remix work's a singular synth taken from the original and replaces the drums, while Sportoloto Metaphysics turns up the funk for a fromage-laced disco jam.
