Last year's Anipintiros album was a fine statement from Darko Esser's Tripeo project, expanding on the purist techno approach displayed across a succession of club ready 12"s. The Dutch artist has pulled together a rather enticing array of his contemporaries to remix tracks from the album for two Anipintiros Reworks 12"s that have both been released this week. This second installment pulls material from Esser's Tripeo LP into bracing new directions with Blawan, Ben Sims, and Cadans at the controls. Of the three it's the remix of "Anipintiros #5" from Sims that truly hits the spot, somehow managing to keep a lid on the sonic chaos that unfolds. Wait to hear this one in the club.
