As part of Laurent Garnier's 25th anniversary celebrations for his legendary F-Communications, they are reissuing some much celebrated classics from the label's back catalogue. These tracks by French duo The Youngsters were originally released on a series of EPs back in 2001. While they may not have released anything new in the last 12 years, the selections on 'FCom 25 EP' (remastered) have certainly stood the test of time. From the infectious tribal funk of "Spanish Harlem" which sounds like something Derrick May would have caned back in the day, to the moody dancefloor drama of "Mellotron" and the knackered house of "Slow" - they all prove that Gilles Escoffier and Olivier Mateu's legacy still lives on.
