Golf Channel's All Star trans-Atlantic duo Dr Dunks and The Rhythm Odyssey cross swords for a fourth time on the heavyweight (and long overdue) Saffron. The collaborative project between Chicken Lipper Dean Meredith and Rub N Tugger Eric Duncan was founded with a view to concocting the very finest analogue assembled proto House and modern disco and it's worked a treat thus far. The approach continues in ripping fashion on "Saffron" which regular attendees of the more considered international discotheques will no doubt recognise thanks to the upfront promos delivered to a select few selectors earlier this year - never have a piano motif and bullying drums sounded so effective! "Night Addict" meanwhile, demonstrates Dr Dunks and The Rhythm Odyssey are equally capable of operating at a slightly slower tempo, splaying heavily delayed and dismembered vocals over an angry little arpeggiated bassline - one for the 4am crowds!
