Dean Meredith (Rhythm Odyssey, Chicken Lips etc) and Ben Shenton ressurect their MEB project for a second outing on Let's Play House. As you'd expect from the duo, "Dead Faces" swims in analogue waters, fusing Meredith's particularly brand of vintage synth fetishism with acid-flecked, Italo-meets-house grooves. The darker, more confused "Killerwatt" offers another clandestine trip, this time laden with dub effects and cheeky guitar samples. It's good, too, but lacks the title track's instant impact. The EP also boasts two smart remixes of "Dead Faces"; a strobelight stroll from acid revivalist Neville Watson and a chunk of Halloween-friendly voodoo house from San Sebastien.
