Paris bastion of all things deep and housey, Real Tone has put together a heavyweight package of remixes of fellow Frenchman Shonky's "Le Velour". None other than Mr Fingers leads the charge with a driving and sexy version that places all the lead melodies down low while taut strings hover overhead. The Martinez Brothers opt for an equally blissed out version that comes on eyes half-open, while Delano Smith plies a similar trade in dreamy house, albeit bolstered by lingering piano and carefully layered vocals. It's an interesting set of results for an original track that was less wistful and seedier in its abrasive beats and acidic bassline
