Swiss duo Savage Grounds released their first three records on Lux Rec: of which one of the members (Daniele Cosmo) is the label boss. Their new EP is the first release to come out externally - in this instance it's for Dutch retroverts Enfant Terrible who have unleashed works by Stattseinde, Europ Europ and LCN of late. Cosmo and partner in crime CCO have created a sound of their own: a style which combines elements of techno, electro, EBM, acid and industrial. The duo have been known to record their jams in one take using only the bare essentials of quality analogue gear, mainly by Roland. It starts off on the A side with the slow burning and guttural analogue punk of "Concrete Tunnels" which you could imagine Helena Hauff playing. Speaking of which, the B side cut "Wall Of Rubber" is is a gritty acid epic which wouldn't sound out of place on her Return To Disorder imprint. Finally, the haunting electro goth of "Negative Spaces" will appeal to fans of legendary labels like Viewlexx or Kommando 6.
