Saphileaum is one of the aliases of Georgian multimedia artist Andro Gogibedashvili, who follows up some great releases on Silent Season, Diffuse Reality and Norite with this interesting one here for French imprint Good Morning Tapes. Inspiration wise, Transpersonal Experience is a tribute to his grandfather, who introduced him to influences such as Omar Khayyam, Rumi, Nizami Ganjavi, Saadi and other Persian philosophers and poets, in addition to Sufi poetry - a strong source of inspiration for the album. Arcane and mystical vibes abound, where meditative polyrhythms play centre stage surrounded by celestial and cosmic textures for an altogether truly transcendental form of enlightenment.
