Whilst some people get concerned as the impending prospect of turning 30 gets ever closer, Wolf Music seem to be taking it all in their stride with a 28th 12" that welcomes Red Rack'em into the fold. Of course avid collectors of this lupine London label will know Daniel Berman has made his mark on the Wolf catalogue, inaugurating their prospering White Label series in fine fashion last year but he's on some other level here. Put simply "Do Or Die" is one of those house cuts that you can slam on a turntable and it will engender a crowded dancefloor - crucially it sounds like Berman had a ton of fun with his sampler and filters when he was producing this one. That sense of playfulness is present on "Ooh Ooh Ooh" too where manic jazz elements tee off with a grinding bassline on the rowdiest slab of beatdown we've heard for some time. "Live At Music Hall" was probably included just to keep the serious deep house head happy.
