|1.||"Hired Guns" (6:42)|
Three years on from its debut, Creme Organization's R-Zone series continues to deliver bona fide dancefloor bombs. As usual, they've hidden the identity of the EP's creator (or creators), instead allowing the music to speak for itself. The punchy, bass-heavy "Hired Guns" sounds like something you'd get from Kowton or Lurka, while "Midwinter" layers deep, dreamy electronics on top of a gently jackin' drum machine groove. Flip for the broken beat meets Larry Heard and Phuture flex of "Captive", and the Motor City-in-space brilliance of the throbbing "Exile".
