Posthuman's latest full-length could well be their best yet. It does a great job in joining the dots between their usual TB-303-heavy jack-tracks, IDM/electronica past, and the conceptual sci-fi futurism that has always been a hallmark of Motor City techno. There are a few less raging peak-time smashers than you might expect, though there's no denying the incredibly high quality of the druggy chuggers, dark ambient numbers and 16-bit electro jams showcased instead. As always the packaging and presentation is superb, too, with Balkan Vinyl opting for an experimental "random coloured vinyl" pressing (there are apparently over 100 different combinations of trans-lucent and marbled vinyl across the 303 copies manufactured) and a special insert (a tube map of the fictional city and a print of the sleeve artwork) by the guys.
