'African Pirates' is the final slab to complete the trilogy of limited edition singles taken from Nightmares On Wax's (NOW) critically acclaimed album released earlier this year. Troubleman aka Mark Pritchard, producer and respected vanguard of the electronic scene, has turned 'African Pirates' into a 9 minute mix of sweltering Afro-beat rhythms, lush retro organs, electric horns & jazz melodies. JD73, a new producer, signed to NOW's 'Wax On' label, restyles the track with a classic down tempo flavour, nodding in the direction of NOW himself, an erstwhile hero at the dawn of the Balearic scene. The heavy NOW Sound System has become a favourite at festivals throughout this long hazy summer, providing uplifting, chilled out vibes with DJs, dub-plates & impromptu appearances from the talented vocalists that appear on the album.
