Burnski and Jon Woodall's Constant Black sublabel follows up a strong opening gambit from Noha with this single from Michael James. It's a refined exercise in minimal house with plenty of warmth and character woven in between the sleek, shuffling beats. "010101" bubbles away on melodic delay ripples and slow drifting pads, while "020202" gets into freakier territory with its nocturnal sound set. "030303" is the dreamiest jam on the record, reaching skywards with its soft synth tones while that insistent groove rolls away underneath. As far as classy minimal house goes, it doesn't get any better than this.
