After their appearance together on a Resident Advisor podcast, Burton and Rathod consummate their partnership with the shimmering strangeness of their EP debut for Visionquest. As the name of the release might suggest, there's something quite B-Side about all the stripped down tracks on offer here. In a move seemingly indebted to labels such as Telegraph back in the mid-noughties, "New Funk" shuffles on a minimal house groove peppered with psychedelic effects and subtle melodic shifts. "Flip Reverse Girl"s lazy broken beat should go down a storm in those wind down moments after the club, while the vocal keeps things from getting too serious.
