Sometime Internasjonal artists Margot are one of the most consistent Italo-disco revival outfits around. To date, they've been responsible for a string of fine singles that look to the darker and weirder end of the style for inspiration. For this EP on Hivern Discs, they've moved out of their comfort zone. While "Apple S" sounds like the theme tune to a particularly early '80s Italian horror film, lead cut "Moderno" is harder to pin down. It could probably be described as Italo/acid/deep house fusion, with a few post-punk disco flashes to keep things fresh. Marc Pional handles remix duties, first turning in the woozy and slightly paranoid "Morning Mix" before giving his TB-303 a thorough working over on the stand out "Acid Mix".
