Lanky newcomer Lofty makes his debut on White Peach following his recent run of Bandcamp releases. Four tracks in total, here the young Bristol talent stretches his legs and runs us through his rootsical moods and sci-fi flavours. 'Solstice' starts the trip on a melancholy wavey one, all 808s and sad horns. Deeper we chew into the peach, we're hit with strong Middle Eastern spices on the sweltering march of 'Desert Storm', we crunch down on the stone with the mean, teeth-baring 'Nightfall' and spit it back out to the triumphant, trance-like euphoria of finale track 'Impetus'. Peachy.
