This first long-player from Bear Funk supremo Steve Kotey's live dub-disco-funk project has been a long time coming. The first Kotey Extra Band single, "Sooner Or Later" - a collaboration with Blockheads man Chaz Jankel, included here - was originally released back in 2007. It seems Kotey used the time wisely, because Full Length is packed to the rafters with guest stars and collaborators. Alongside Jankel, there are guest spots by Bottin (on recent single "Hot Ring"), Max Essa, Faze Action's Robin Lee, Max Skiba and George Demure (whose appearance on the Italo disco jam "Danger Eyes" is a highlight). Seasoned Kotey watchers will know exactly what to expect; in many ways, Full Length could have been called Bear Funk - The Album! Great stuff.
