Having made his 777 debut on the killer C'est La Vii compilation the label released a few months back, Futers now returns to helm the latest 12" from Ron 'the Wrecker' Wilson's Berlin operation. With little info out there on the artist beyond a SoundCloud page and Twitter account let's focus on the cuts, with Mr Futers laying down a booming, broken techno cut in titular EP opener "U Get Me" that will appeal to fans of Ilian Tape, though it's all washed down with some particularly emotive pads. It's quite the opening statement and Futers proceeds to show his versatility as a producer, veering off into acid breakbeat territory on "Slamming" (which features some right tasty record scratching) and similarly grin-inducing retro-vibes abound on the rough edged hip house business of "Mackin'". Closer "Cide" ends a fine 12" on a more serene note, with Futers easing out some bottom heavy ambient electronics reminiscent of Funki Porcini.
