Brooklyn's SecondHand Records bossman Fatik lays down a wedge of powerful editry in the third volume of his Morgan Avenue imprint. Following dispatches from the don Nicky Siano and Osmose & byDesign, Fatik celebrates disco funk and soul in all their many deeply-dug shapes and forms. Ranging from the straight up floor pumps and gospel-level drive of "Every Night Venus Shines Bright" right the way through to the jazzier, hazier piano-snaking "Eddie Talk", all four tracks are subtly enhanced, retaining their OG power but charged for a modern day hoedown. Don't sleep on these.
