Vega returns with a new twist on one of his most ambitious and acclaimed projects Elements Of Life. Concentrating the outfit down from its original grand troupe to a tight seven-piece, "Upright Love" is where a new chapter begins and seems set for big plans both release-wise and performance-wise. Vega kicks off the 45 with his own Kat mix that strides up and down the nylon strings with glistening grace, hip-shaking percussion and light fingered jazzy touches on the Rhodes. "Thompkins Square Park" closes the B with a little gilded Puerto Rican flute fusion. Make no mistake; E.O.L's next chapter has begun in fine style...
