Does It Look Like I'm Here? (Daphni mixes) vinyl

Not even the infamous Carlos from alt blog Hipster Runoff could conjure up a combination that was pitched more perfectly towards the alternative music press than this 12". Dan Snaith donning his Daphni garms to proffer not one but two remixes of the title track from cult Editions Mego act Emeralds 2010 album Does It Look Like I'm Here? and releasing them on his own vinyl only Jiaolong imprint. Put all this aside and focus on the music and you won't be disappointed though, with the first remix conjuring up Gavin Russom and Delia Gonzales in their getting remixed by Carl Craig pomp. The dense synth noise of Maguire and co is transformed into an incendiary, trance-inducing dancefloor production and those who like to do things slightly different might enjoy how it sounds flipped to plus 8 at 33rpm. Check the B Side to for a version that discards with the beats to whip up the synths into a potent frenzy deranged psychedelia.
