Elite Beat is an Oregon sextet who are on a mission to dub the world. And they're doing a fine job of it too, with this new 12" featuring two more killer cuts. 'Tom's By 2' is a dreamy vibe with mystic and psychedelic sax leads that drift off into the cosmos. The tumbling drums roll along nice and steady and keep you locked in this most Iive-sounding of jams. It's warming body music at an inviting tempo but the vibe switches on the flip side. A slower, more inward looking sound resides in the plump dub drums. Sub-bass and swirling drums flesh it out to perfection.
