Having impressed at the tail end of 2014 with the CD version of Weekends & Beginnings - a live mix-up recorded to celebrate the success of the Mister Saturday Night parties that eventually spawned the acclaimed label of the same name - Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter return with a second, DJ-friendly vinyl sampler. Unsurprisingly, it's packed with gems, from the deep, gospel-influenced soulful house swing of Tommy Musto's forgotten 1998 remix of Jasper Street Company's "Solid Ground", to the percussive, stripped-back brilliance of Motor City Drum Ensemble's remix of Caribou's "Leave House". Best of all, though, is Ike Release's "Phazzled", an overlooked 2012 deep house gem that deserves greater exposure.
