The second release on Carrying Colour finds Duval Timothy exploring his cultural heritage through the unique dual sim card carrying culture people of mixed heritage or multiple residence can relate to. Centred on interviews with friends, family members and strangers on the street in Sierra Leone, Timothy stitches together a tapestry of field recordings and solo musical pieces that tell a story all too often unheard. It's a highly personal record that truly takes you into the heart of the subject matter in the most evocative of ways. Timothy's soulful piano excerpts are what bind everything together, not least on the subtly drum boosted "All Things".
