|2.||"I Feel Alright"|
There's something deliciously authentic about the minimal wave/new wave revivalism of Italian duo Discodeath. The music of Marco Pittalis and Roberto Nocco bristles with the distinctive sound of vintage analogue synths, wonky drum machines and new wave attitude. This eponymous debut long-player, then, is something of a treat for those keen on the droning, arpeggio-heavy throb of late '70s/early '80s new wave and synth-pop. Easy comparisons can me made with early Human League (or, more precisely, their forerunner The Future) and Vince Clarke-era Depeche mode, while the duo's penchant for singing in multiple languages adds a curious eccentricity that matches the music's oh-so-authentic feel.
