The second part of Soul Jazz's immense exploration of independently released, genre-blurring disco tracks from the late 70s/early 80s, the firing fusions and agenda-setting arrangements keep on coming. There's a heavier emphasis on the funk fusions with tracks such as Something Extra's slippery, slinky "Sexy Lady" and the slap bass eyelash flutters of Stwange Poweple's "Get Up" really smelting disco and funk down to their bare naked elements. Elsewhere we're massaged by big string dynamics on Chemistry's "Skateboard" and we get our heads down and boogie like there's no tomorrow on Sugar Bear Johnson's "When Your Jones Come Down". Stunning.
