Georgia native Chris Powers is said to have honed his skills in Chicago via "the foggy clubs of London". He is back on his home turf these days with a residency at Atlanta's Hunger club night and his own Cape Fear gig in Savannah. Appearing here for NYC upstarts Alliance Upholstery, Powers delivers the rather impressive "All Right", a dusty and looped up house affair with sampled disco aesthetics adding to its allure. It gets a bunch of stellar remixes too, courtesy of Chicago legend Parris Mitchell who injects some added funk and sleazy disco aesthetic for added measure. On the flip, one of the true masters of deepness himself Kai Alce delivers another life affirming "NDATL Dub" which is always worthy of your attention until John Barrera & Will Martin deliver their absolutely electric rendition of the funky disco house persuasion.
