Review

"This was the post-dubstep era," says Bonobo when reflecting on his now 10 year old and rightfully classic album Black Sands. "Elements of House and 2-step. All wonky and joyful. It was fun and progressive." It sure was, and is, with its glistening harmonies, lurching bass and cross-genre fusions all taking you on a real musical adventure that hits some super tender highs as well as melancholic, involving lows. The reissue features a new cover taken by Bonobo in the Lake District during last year, and comes on red vinyl with new liner notes by the artist himself.
