For the second release on their archival Bauhaus Records imprint, Amichay Matyas and Yogo have decided to offer up a new pressing of that most rare of things: a dub reggae album produced in Tel Aviv in 1986. This is not any old Israeli reggae album, though, but rather one that was co-produced and mixed by none other than Dennis Bovell. It's a cheery and sun-kissed affair in keeping with the partly digital reggae sound of the period, with occasional forays into slightly heavier dub territory and knowing nods towards lovers rock. That's a hugely enjoyable stylistic blend, making this a surprise reissue that you'd be advised to check.
