Next on brokntoys is Ana de Giles aka Annechoic, returning after a seven year hiatus. Rw Nw Prt M Hrw' takes inspiration from The Egyptian Book of the Dead, where over five tracks she 'alternates dreamlike atmospheres with adroit club numbers' as the label so succinctly described themselves. After the dark ambient soundscape of "Ka", brace yourself for the dystopian bass attack of "Sheut", battle the ghosts in the machine on the future electro of "Ba" or for a real change of tempo, lose yourself in the evocative and bittersweet beats of "Ib". A wonderful return to form, from the artist behind the now sadly defunct Audiofugitive imprint.
