Techno
  1. Sidney Street (5:26)
  2. Dev Green (4:22)
  3. Eccy Road (4:52)
  4. Copley Road (5:22)
Review: Mella Dee's much loved and hugely impactful Warehouse Music label is back with more of its big room bangers from the boss himself. "Sidney Street" is pure bait, with a naughty bassline that harks back to an old school garage sound and has fist pumping vocals, while "Dev Green" layers in cantering techno kicks and haunting pads for a more spooky vibe. There's then a more high speed but just as kicking groove on "Eccy Road" which is hyper speed, paranoid and infectious. The clipped techno funk on "Copley Road" closes out a very versatile and useful EP.

Techno Disco Tool EP
Techno Disco Tool EP (hand-stamped green vinyl 12")
Cat: WM 003. Rel: 24 Oct 17
Techno
  1. Techno Disco Tool (6:44)
  2. Cloud One (5:56)
  3. World Dance (6:38)
Review: Ryan Aitchison aka Mella Dee is back on the fuming Warehouse Music imprint with three boiling-hot, golden era house cuts for the headz! In fact, the opening "Techno Disco Tool", as the name suggests, is a wondrous loop of high-powered soul, backed by an electrifying shade of FX filtering. On the flip, "Cloud One" is driven by a strong disco sample loop, taking it to some seriously euphoric lavels on the dancefloor, and "World Dance" dives right into the middle of the rave with its hypnotic techno sonics and harsh, intricate percussion loops. Three full-blown BOMBS!

Deep House
  1. Donny's Groove (6:24)
  2. DG Redux (6:23)
  3. The Sound (4:52)
Review: The fifth offering from Warehouse Music here, an imprint brought to you by London based DJ Mella Dee. Growing up in South Yorkshire, Dee (real name Ryan Aitchison) developed early musical influences originating from the warehouse sounds of the northern region. With a respectful nod to the influence this had on him, Aitchison strives to create his own take on warehouse music with his project. Unlike the harder hitting sounds presented on previous editions, Aitchison explores the late '90s sounds of funky house on the infectious disco loops of "Donny's Groove " filtered to perfection of course, or the explosive Todd Terry tribute that is" The Sound" on the flip. Speaking of loops, he pays tribute to the Windy City master Carlos Souza on the rather 'Sneaky' and boompty tribal groove of "DG Redux".

Deep House
  1. Priviet (6:12)
  2. Xeniouski (6:45)
  3. You Know What I Want (6:03)
  4. A Base De Kush (6:12)
Review: Warehouse Music does exactly what is says on the tin, time and time again. Now Mella Dee's label welcomes Leo Pol for four straight up but characterful house bangers. 'Priviet' gets the party started with its old school piano chords and boisterous kick drums, then 'Xeniouski' slips into a trippy techno vibe with bustling breakbeats and dark vocal samples. The hyper speed 'You Know What I Want' fires synths out of a machine gun and layers up paranoid bass while closer 'A Base De Kush' is a super slick and stripped back hypnotic techno roller with insistent drums and warm, gooey pads
