Review: Silver Network has been a constant source of quality deep house with feeling since Jef K and Tony Silver fired it up in Paris in the late 90s. Andrade is just the cat to get in on the action, having been spotted on other esteemed French labels like Karat in the past. "Float Left" is a psychotropic jam pinging all kinds of strange FX, piano flourishes and subby bass around the jacking beat, and it's offset by the lounge-minded but no less inventive tones of "Float Right". Sakro comes on board for a remix of "Float Left' that taps up chunky, funky 90s house, and then "Clearfix" finishes the record off with a heads down dancefloor workout for the later hours of the session.

Review: Surely one of the most important French house producers out there, Ark brings his evergreen freaky style to Silver Network for this razor sharp three tracker. He's sounding pretty smooth on "Lenlife," using some gorgeous melodic flourishes as a bed for his errant sample triggering, while "Break Day" brings a chunkier, funkier vibe that smacks hard in all the right places. "Grand Final" feels like a classic Ark jam, peppered with inventive flourishes and driving towards a corner of the house music playground that is all his own. No-one does it quite like Ark, and this record shows he's in as fine form as ever.

Review: Sample-digging deep house sophisticates Silver Network are back in action with another impeccable slice of loose and limber funk from a devoted digger. Paul Cut has previously been spotted on labels like Balance and Popcorn, and the committed jazz head demonstrates his chops once more on this EP, from the uplifting, edit-heavy "But Her Fly" to the more heads-down roll of "The Shadow". Hugo LX takes "The Shadow" to a more cosmic, synth laden place with his killer remix, before Cut finishes things off with the seriously jazzed out shuffle of "Kiddo".

Review: Soulful, gospel-inspired deep house is what Joaquin Diaz's Rhythm&Soul alias brings to Jef K's Kiss-inspired Silver Network - goin' strong since '99. It's his debut for the French label and he's given the royal treatment thanks to remixes from John Dimas and Freak 'n' Chic's Djebali, which includes a bonus dub mix. Dimas' rework is energetic and free flowing, highlighting his unique style best heard on releases for Bass Culture and Clapp. Meanwhile Djebali's contributions provide two alternatives; something light and cruisey, while the dub is reduced and a house DJ's ultimate tool ready for the working.

Review: It's been two years since Jef K's excellent Silver Network label was in action, so it's great to see the French mainstay back in action, and with the excellent Shade on board no less. The London-based artist brings an addictive, Chicago-tinged kind of deep house to the table with "London Social Club", all Mr Fingers bass and deeper-than-deep pads. "Initial Pass" is no slouch in the slouching department either with its luxuriant chords weaving around a subtly stomping beat. Parisian legend Ark takes to "London Social Club" and does a fine job of chopping up the original with his micro-editing ways. "All Alone (Shade Morning Remix)" is the perfect closer with its dreamy melodics and 80s boogie inspired beat.

Review: After the colossal hit "In My System" from Chez Damier's project The Gathering in 2010, Jef K's Silver Network label is back with a record from Valentin featuring The Morvans. The A-Side features the slow building original and a darker, techier remix from Abstract Soul. Smooth vocals drip over the original track's hypnotic basis of simple claps, hats and a choppy bassline. Lyrics of "music, music, oooh sweet music" are the key here, which just like "In My System", are easily recognisable and will no doubt resonate with dancefloor dweller across the globe. On the flip, Jef K and Gewn M squeeze out a gorgeous and airy remix, playing with the all important spaces between the beats and meandering synths. The Hot Lunch (aka Sasse & Ewan Pearson) remix nods to jackin' modern house and rounds off a well balanced package.

Review: Jef K's Silver Network springs a surprise on the label's followers with a slightly darker offering than fans may be used to. Part of Jef's ethos is to shake things every once in a while to avoid becoming stale, so he decided to sign this super fresh cut from Ludovic Vendi and Olive_R. 'Nosh' is a fidgety, morose production with unsettling beats and the constant mutter of voices lurking in the background.
Remix pressure comes from Jef's good friend, and owner of the excellent La Vie En Rose label, Terence :Terry: who, together with Spanish wonderkid Hanfry Martinez (Overall Music), drops a bouncing bomb of a track. Meanwhile, Yoshitaca, Japanese producer and boss of amazing label Fasten Musique Concrete, also turns in a dynamite rework full of flavour.
So we have three splendid versions of a track that serves as a perfect example of Silver Network's ability to push its own boundaries. Deep, dark and utterly delectable.
