Minimal/Tech House
Jalebi (8:10)
Kama (7:34)
Gerda & Kay (8:14)
Kauri (8:31)
Review: Shanti Radio has released some incredible music of late, much of it towards the more melodic, atmospheric and positive end of the tech-house spectrum. This four-tracker from MOS neatly fits into this narrative, offering up warming, dreamy and picturesque tracks that effortlessly blur the boundaries between deep house, tech-house and progressive flavours. Opener "Gerda Kay" simply swells with sun-kissed beauty and enveloping melodic intent, as bright lead lines and swirling pads tumble down over a tactile groove. The Afro-tinged "Jalebi" offers stirring strings, toasty chords and locked-in grooves, while "Kama" bubbles along on waves of toe-tapping percussion, choral samples and fluid piano motifs. Rounding things off is "Kauri", another immersive chunk of dancefloor hypnotism rich in positive chord progressions and heartwarming bass.

Magare (8:44)
Wolfman (7:25)
Waterfall (8:36)
Belief (8:45)
Review: A strong example of contemporary deep house that blends in a regional and deep sound palette, Makebo's 'Belief' is the next EP to top up the artist's repertoire. Following up releases on the likes of Anjuna and Peace Symphonies, this EP works through four tricky yet melodic and depth-plunging forward-movers, carefully removing and adding elements back in, in direct correlation with our faith in the music. Whatever belief system you ascribe to, 'Belief' zooms out into an amorally blissful zone - the self-titled closer is a particular highlight.

Cyclops (Tibi Dabo remix) (7:02)
Review: Mathew Jonson and Quenum's modern classic 'Cyclops' is the title track from last year's album of the same name. It is elegant, synth-laden techno and the original gets included here - it's a poly-rhythmic affair with ghostly, wordless vocals, rubbery bass and multi-layered synths that never stops moving. Tim Green offers a dream deep house remix, Facundo Mohrr & Valdovinos go for something dubby and cavernous, Volen Sentir & Izhevski lighten up the mood and make it a perfectly dreamy day-time dancer and Makebo brings the Afro vibes. Tibi Dabo reworks things for late-night dance floors but keeps the mystic synth work.

Minimal/Tech House
Lost Desert, Gorje Hewek & Izhevski - "Yurta" (9:12)
Lost Desert & Lee Burridge - "Suzan Lunch" (8:16)
Lost Desert & Hermanez - "Jinx" (8:58)
Review: Enigmatic producer Lost Desert has built has career on collaborative releases, so it's little surprise to see that his second Shanti Radio outing comprises three quietly impressive studio hook-ups. He first joins forces with Gorje Hewek and Izhevski on A-side cut "Yurta", a delightfully loose and rolling fusion of slipped tech-house grooves, meandering electronic motifs, Middle Eastern percussion and drifting Arabic vocals. Over on side B he reunites with regular studio partner Lee Burridge for some deep tech-house warmth influenced by the music of Turkey, before hooking up with Hermanez to wrap gentle, blissful melodies, dreamy chords and toasty bass around another sumptuous, Middle East influenced dancefloor groove.
