Review: Andreas Lubeck first appeared on Northern Electronics with the "Gait Cycle EP" back in 2017 before stepping up the album format with "Lonely Hearts Club" last year. It's not taken long for him to return the fray with another long form slab of frostbitten workouts ranging from the uneasy stalking of "Barrier Miner" to the slow-stepping "Gait Cycle (Mormal Version)". There's plenty of texture and atmosphere that places this album in the Northern Electronics universe, but it's also leaning on a UK soundsystem leaning that blends with these sonic attributes perfectly, making this as exciting for club damage as it is for home listening.

Review: Thanks to some legal grief from German metal band Varg, Jonas Ronnberg has been forced to regenerate as Varg2 TM. Musically he's not changed, though, as the doom-laden, glitch and bleep-sporting insanity of fuzzy techno opener "I've Spent 3000 On A New Laptop, And This Is What It Sounds Like?" proves. Ronnberg giddily sprints towards techno-trance pastures on the slamming but also bright and breezy "Thirst (Dressed in Nothing But UV Paint And Biodegradable Glitter)" before assaulting our senses via the wild acid techno of "This Room Has Many Faces, Many Gods & Many Faces (Dressed In Nothing But Cum And Bedazzled Angel Wings)". To round things off the Swedish producer joins forces with G19 for a spot of industrial electro on "Parasites (Honest Music For Dishonest People)".

Review: Five years after the first volume of Northern Electronics' "Scandinavian Swords" series was released, the series most expansive instalment yet hits record stores. This time round, the label is releasing it in two tripe-vinyl volumes. This is the first part and is every bit as thrilling and otherworldly as you'd expect. Across the collection you'll find all manner of wayward treats, from the thumping techno growl of Varg2tm Vtss's "VARGTSS1 (Do The Roar)" and the pitch-black EBM horror of Exploited Body's "She Blames The River", to the buzzing modular psychedelia of "Indolent" by Fatal, and the savagely cut-up jungle mutations of E-Saggila and The Pellican Company.
