"It started life as the SVF design (based on the J. Haible discrete 2040 gain cell) which Scott Stites posted over at electro-music in April. I'd been wanting to work with another filter for a while and this one looked interesting, so I started playing with it. I lopped off the audio input section and grafted on the CP3 mixer (moar transistors!) and that's what you're hearing in this rather short clip. It's definitely interesting! A very thick, rich-sounding filter with a lot of different personalities depending on how hard you drive the inputs."

VCA module with dedicated controls for Volume, Drive & CV input attenuation
Notes: The DTA is a low-cost, yet high quality VCA made by Manhattan Analog. The circuit was designed as a back end for monophonic synthesiser voices. If clean sound doesn't feel right in a particular moment, you can add a decent amount of dirt using the module's drive stage.
The DTA features a signal input, followed by a VCA. The circuit's volume can be adjusted manually and via CV inputs. One of the control voltage channels comes equipped with an attenuator. Thanks to an adjustable drive stage, the sound character can be varied from clean to crisp and dirty.
Officially licensed reissue of the original Synthasystem filter - 14HP
Notes: The Steiner Synthasystem VCF is a multimode filter with powerful, clearly analog sound. It features high-pass, low-pass and an exceptionally crisp bandpass mode. The input level is adjustable. The cutoff potentiometer means business. For modulations, there are two CV inputs with attenuators. High resonance values result in wet to sharp and aggressive sound. A very versatile filter!
The audio input of the Steiner Synthasystem VCF is followed by a level control. Via a switch, users can choose the module's high-pass, band-pass or low-pass mode. Two large, very handy potentiometers allow users to comfortably adjust cutoff and resonance. For cutoff modulations, two CV inputs plus attenuators were implemented. Thanks to two outputs, filtered audio material can be sent to several other circuits in parallel.
