Review: Alphonse pens a love letter to jungle on this new EP for Klasse Wrecks. It's a flurry of drum breaks and powerful rhythms all served up through a classical lens with hefty bass underpinning each tune. This is a real journey into jungle with epic 12-minute plus opener 'Android Mash' twisting and turning through a flurry of tumbling snares, police sirens and yearning vocals. 'The Eagle' is a more soulful sound but still dense in its arrangement and tense in its rhythms. 'Elevation' closes down with plunging basslines and dark soul atmospheres.

Review: Alphonse is an anonymous artist who has found a happy home on the Klasse Wrecks label. This is his third outing and is another interesting concoction that touches on everything from acid to ambient, new age to techno. And that's just on the opening tune 'Fanatic' which is as busy as you can imagine yet still has room to breathe. 'Everstar' is a hyper speed cut with layers of gleaming melody and long-tailed electronics. Further technoid funk comes in the form of 'Signify' and the more heady, dreamscape breakbeats of 'Beechwood.' These are yet more expressive weapons from this anonymous artist.

Review: South London duo Aura aka Gary Folgate and Dave Tutt are the artists behind the original on this fourth EP on Klasse Wrecks sub-label Elegal Records. The original came out first in 1993 but now comes as four different versions from original group member Electron Forest (aka Dave Sage) and label regulars Luca Lozano and DJ Steve. The original is included and is still an essential sound with deep bass and tropical yet cosmic techno vibes. The Electron Forest Reentry mix brings some acid madness to the fore, then Luca offers a big, bouncy breakwater remix and DJ Steve keeps things nice and tripped out with his celestial chords.

Review: It's been a minute since we had a fresh drop from Hans Berg. Often found recording with Johanna Knutsson and releasing on UFO Station Recordings, Berg is already a shoe-in for the Klasse Wrecks vibe, where big bleeps and bigger breaks are par for the course. Berg's approach is also melodically charged, as he's demonstrated on his album projects, and 'A Floor Of Stars' leans on dreamy pads and harmonic interplay as much as crushing drums. For a remix, Klasse boss Luca Lozano turns up the heat with a pressure cooker version that keeps the original elements intact but pours in extra layers of gnarly rave grease to get the gears rolling good n' proper.

Review: Klasse Wrecks welcomes Bristol-based Marco Bernardi to its ranks following strong releases for Clone, Delsin, Rawax, Planet E, and most recently the Kelly Twins' Happy Skull label. Spacejam provides an EP of demented drums, fiddling electronics and refreshing originality, showcasing the signature sound of the studio-obsessed Scottish born DJ and producer. His idiosyncratic style runs through the three tracks here, from the space jack and Green Velvet-inspired vocals of the title track, through the rubbery funk of "No I Didn't" and frenetic acid of "Oist Mal".

Review: Former Mock & Toof man Duncan Stump's Coral D project is a study in sunrise-ready retro-futurism, with his two previous singles under the alias combining warm analogue electronics with new age synthesizer riffs, sci-fi drum machine grooves and unwavering glassy-eyed positivity. While some of the turn-of-the-90s charm can be found on this EP for Klasse Wrecks, it's a slightly more psychedelic and otherworldly affair. Our pick is "Sways", where a nagging acid motif bubbles away alongside marimba style synthesizer melodies and a vintage post-jack U.S deep house groove. "Fall Away" is even more druggy and intoxicating, with gravelly spoken word samples and exotic melodies riding a chunky groove, while closing cut "Nibiri" is sweet, dubbed out and pleasingly hazy.

Review: Klasse Wrecks is one of the quiet workhouse sou the European underground - never really in the headlines but always there with quality, effective club sounds in a range of different styles. Cybernetik Synergy is their latest and it's a collaborative affair between Dawe and Luca Lozano that brings out the best in both. 'Data Transfer' is electrified broken beat techno with fizzing synth malfunctions, wispy stabs and fractured vocals for raw rave vibes. 'NRG' is a more stripped-back but no less edgy sound, with spare hits riding a slick broken beat and mournful pads adding atmosphere. There's a remix and further rugged techno on the filpside with 'Virtual Space'.

Review: Don't get messed by the moniker, Tim Schumacher's electro project is anything but normal. Sculpting his 808s with a sense of soul and strong vapour trails of foundation break-based tracks that formed so many genres we know and love today, there's a strong sense of timelessness laced throughout - the air of electro boogie on "N4 Theme", the Jam & Spoon feels of "Purity 0%", the 2 Bad Mice ruffage of "Cult Of Alecto" and the classic acid sinewy sonics of "Hu Strike" could all have smashed crowds throughout the last 20 years. Authentic.

Review: At this point we don't know who DJ Steve is. A few years ago, some masterful leftfield disco edits came on the Beats in Space label from an apparent Spanish butcher named DJ Steve, but we sense this is a different person entirely. Mainly because these are prop throwback acid tracks that transport you to a '90s dance floor in an instant. 'Azul Electrico 1' is all rugged bass undulations, cowbells and bleeping melodies. 'Secret Touch' layers in a classic vocal sample to add some soul to the glistening electronics then 'Vandal Eyes' offers a scruffy drum track overlaid with more bleeps and squeaks. Luca Lozano's A Perfect Circle remix is a chunky bit of cosmic tech funk to close down with.

Review: PO FOLK sees Berlin newcomers make a welcome return to Klasse Recordings, their second EP for the label is a stripped to the bone work-out of all killer no filler. PO FOLK comes in two versions, the 'HATE' version kicks off with distorted kicks and stabs before dropping to a devastating buzzy bassline. Techno and House in equal form, the track is perfect mix of light and dark. Vocals come courtesy of the group themselves, re-voicing a classic track that might be familiar to some. The 'LOVE' version brings some melody and warmth into play, but still retains all the analogue fuzz and nastiness. MPC style sample cut ups ride the beat and transport the track to another heavy bassline and vocal chat. Berlin based Panorama Bar favourites, Analogue Cops join the ranks of Klasse Recordings with a unique take on the title track. Playing out as a live jam session, the Restoration Records duo dub out the original parts and turn in a version that is as relentless as it is intriguing. Heavy on the bass and with double the weirdness, their interpretation is sure to cause havoc on any willing dancefloor. Wrapping up the EP is 'Black Widow', an atmospheric and dynamic track that builds slowly before introducing a huge sub bass. Reduced to only the most essential of parts, 'Black Widow' is sure to play out well in any forward thinking DJ set.

Review: ELEGAL2 offers up rare and hard to find tracks for the vaults of revered UK producer Lemmon Grass. They were written in the mid-nineties and on the British House label Triumph Records but they fit right into to today's underground. 'Julie Must Fly' hi-tek soul, with futurist pads making you gaze off into the future. 'Freak In Me' places you more in the here and now with its bouncy house vibes and 'Barly Rd' then pairs razor sharp drum work with celebratory synth stabs that shimmer and shine. '121' is an old school jacking cut with analogue drum workouts and flailing cow bells.

Review: The workhorse that is Klasse Wrecks hits release number 45 here and offers something a little different - a summer anthem in the making from Limit Blau. Well, the opener certainly is - 'Mi Yoyo' has steamy sax motifs melting into a warm low end, with old school piano chords darting about up top and a knotted 90s bassline down below. It's ripe for hearing in Ibiza with its mix of prog chords, tribal drums and loose percussion. 'Midnight Summer' is a throwback house jam with more prog references and trance-y overtones and then things get more slamming, sleazy and steamy on 'Trap House' with its pitch-shifted vocal and heavy kicks.

Review: The Berlin based Klasse Wrecks boss is back, teaming up with Mr Ho with some rough house jams, just the way we like them. "Kush Groove" is a fitting title for this dusty and rusty funk fuelled house jam, powered by a dirty, sampled break; but it sounds more like they got their hands on some killer B.C. bud! The broken beats continue on "Visions Of Rhythm" this is the kind of tough and dusty machine funk you'd expect to hear from John Swing and the Relative crew and we like this too. Finally "2 Wangs In A Room" carries on with swing fuelled breakbeat house of the deeper variety but these breaks certainly ain't from a drum machine. That harp sound that comes in during the last quarter of the track is just awesome too.

Review: After a two-year hiatus in which he appeared on Running Back and, more recently, Super Rhythm Trax, Luca Lozano returns to the Klasse Wrecks label he co-founded with Mr Ho almost a decade ago. There's naturally much to admire across the four-tracker, with the Sheffield-based serving up an eclectic selection of nostalgic, retro-futurist treats first featured on his CD-only 'Man of Science' album. On opener 'Prognosis', he doffs his cap towards mid-90s psychedelic house and rushing early '90s piano house - think Italian dream house motifs, throbbing arpeggiated bass and bongo-laced beats, while 'Celestial Being' sounds like early 90s, breakbeat-driven Orbital productions with an extra-dose of loved-up warmth. Over on the reverse, 'Make Peace' is an urgent, non-stop slab of trance-inducing dancefloor intoxication, while 'Man of Science' is a deep 'bleep & breaks' treat.

Review: Having spent the last two years working on upgrades on his top-secret Sheffield bunker, Luca Lozano is ready to return to action. By the sounds of it, he spent the time well, because Lozano 2.0: Music Man contains some of his most emotive and musically intricate material to date. For proof, check 'Imdoingthis4u', where subtle nods towards disco and funk are detectable amongst the chunky beats, weighty bass, sparkling electronics and raw riffs. There's a similarly warming and surprisingly dreamy feel to acid-flecked mid-tempo number 'Zusammen', while 'Beaten With a Beat Tool' sees him add fluttering female vocal samples and saucer-eyed, sunrise-ready chords to a rolling, Afro-influenced beat. Best of all though is 'A Higher Place', a druggy chugger that alternates between trippy, mind-altering intensity and surging, rave-ready positivity.

Review: Klasse Wrecks founders Mr Ho and Luca Lozano have always been good at serving up party-igniting smashers, though their latest four-track collaboration is even giddier and more bass-heavy than usual. Inspired by working-class northern dance music culture of the late 1990s, all four tracks blend booming, UK garage style basslines and boisterous beats - both 4/4 house and breaks - with warped electronics, sizzling stabs and vintage rap vocals. Highlights are plentiful, from the breathless funkiness and low-end weight of 'Join My Team' and the relentless power of 'Friction', to the acid-flecked, trance-inducing trip of 'Clock U'. A bonus Dub of 'Join My Team' - think dreamy breaks meets Armand Van Helden's dark garage remixes - completes a fabulous package.

Review: After many years turning out 12"s, Klasse Wrecks has decided to serve up a first-ever 10" and they give the honour to Mr. Ho. His '000 Baby' is a delightfully widescreen sound - a post-rave mix of comedown electronics, dusty breakbeats and soothing ambient pads with some smart vocal samples drifting like wispy clouds. On the flipside, we're treated to and OM Unit remix that beefs things up and speeds up the drums. The percussion too is more defined and the energy levels ramped up with deft 808 bass and searching acidic leads. A nice yin to the A-side's yang.

Review: Much of Klasse Wrecks co-founder Mr Ho's work is retro-futurist in tone, and his latest 12" which, turn of the 90s style, features different sonic explorations of the same core theme, is no different. On The EP-opening 'US Acid Breaks' mix, he doffs a cap to the house-tempo, TB-303 laden, dark room-ready breakbeat explorations of Frankie Knuckles and the Sonic Groove crew, while the bouncy 'Acid House' mix recycles the same acid lines and motifs atop smoother house beats and a booming bassline. Over on side B, he reaches for a rubbery but non-stop bassline on the chunky 'House Mix', before rounding things off with the self-explanatory 'Breaksapella' DJ tool.

Review: If you were to closely scrutinize the Klasse Wrecks discography, you'd find numerous collaborations between label co-founder Mr Ho, and all manner of like-minded individuals. He's at it again here, joining forces with Florian Blauensteiner for another trip through off-kilter dancefloor pastures. Lead cut "The Hunt" is especially impressive, with the duo lacing ZX Spectrum electronics and creepy pads over a dusty, broken beat-inspired groove. This formula is retained for the more acid-influenced flipside "Ammunition", which sounds like a hook-up between Mr Oizo and IG Culture. Best of all, though, is SW's flipside Amnesia Mix of "The Hunt", in which the SUED artist turns the original into a trippy chunk of ambient house/broken beat/intelligent techno fusion.

Buzzing with electricity and fuzz the 'Bad Format' EP is an impressive debut from the young artist and sure to please fans of both traditional Electro and forward thinking House. Review: Berlin's Klasse Recordings launched their new sublabel Klasse Wrecks last year to showcase some more adventurous styles beyond their usual endeavours and this new one by Phran certainly delivers. "Basical" starts things off in an exotic fashion with sampled monologue backed with bongo drums beneath smooth, dreamy keys. The broken overdriven kick on "Alberca" soon gives way to killer steel drums drenched in delay and a mesmerising melody. Samo DJ and Baba Stilts hand in a nice remix of "Basical" that's full of deepness too. On the flip we have "Ayoo" with its snarling, overdriven bassline and hissing metallic hi-hats getting all in your face, while "Handprints" gets deep again with its persisting harpsichord assisting a throbbing groove that brings in laser zaps, looped strings and a killer bassline.

Review: The assured and well-established Klass Wrecks label is launching a new series with Kid Who called 'NFO,' which they say is for "records showcasing previously unreleased house, techno, acid and more from the 90s Amiga Demoscene." These tunes were made using early sample sequencers such as ProTracker and are steeped in early-era techno vibes that have all been unearthed by Kid Who during lockdown when he began to explore the Damascene web archives. There are thousands of tracks in all and several of them will now be pressed to wax as part of this ongoing various artists 12" series.

Review: Katie Campbell AKA Roza Terenzi has been in fine form over the last couple of years, offering up must-check EPs on Dekmantel, Kalahari Oyster Cult, Butter Sessions and Bizarro. Here the Australian producer makes her first appearance on Klasse Wrecks, offering up the delightfully clanking, funk-fuelled analogue bounce of "Metal Glo"- a wonderful combination of Syclops style electronic refrains, loose-limbed machine drums and attractive melodies - and the even wilder and sleazier, acid-fuelled peak-time wonkiness of "Allstarz", whose dreamy chords offer a neat counterpoint to the ragged antics underpinning them. There are two tidy "Metal Glo" remixes, too: a deliciously glassy eyed, bleeping revision from label bosses Luca Lozano and Mr Ho, and a Morgan Wright and RP Remix that turns the track into a sweaty, off-beat treat.
