Drive (feat Khan)
Shiwago
Review: The Hamburg duo, ADANA TWINS, have been storming the charts over the past year, respectively topping the poles of Beatport and Resident Advisor.

2 years ago their hit ""Strange"" plunged the deep house faithfuls into the limelight, gaining them support from across the boarder. Adana Twins were being praised by DJs of all genres and receiving standing ovations in clubs. This resulted in a bunch of new remixes, massive press attention and a busy tour schedule all over the world, with an Australia, America and Brasil tour. Aside from their hectic worldwide touring schedule, the duo remixed ""Schwarz Don't Crack"" on Kitsune. In March 2014, this entertaining duo will be releasing the fresh new single DRIVE featuring Khan (Ex-Captain Comatose/Playhouse/I'm Single) on Exploited. Includes Bonus Track SCHIWAGO.

Review: 2014 was a definitely a huge year for dance music, with many up and coming artists being thrown into the lifestyle of hectic partying and relentless touring schedules. This also means that those who exploded onto the scene prior are no longer the new kids on the block. A few years is a long time in the life of a DJ, and the first few years are often the maddest.
The Adana Twins are a perfect example of one of these artists, having emerged onto the scene in 2012 with releases such as 'Everyday' and 'Strange', from the off it was clear that they had everybody's undivided attention.' (Pulse Radio) With DJ names like Take It Easy and Friso, it's probably to be presumed that German duo Adana Twins don't take themselves too seriously. That tongue in cheek attitude could be heard on their first productions and remixes. It's now almost almost three years later and the Twins' music vision is constantly developing.

After their highly anticipated release 'Drive feat. Khan' from 2014 the 2 boys from Hamburg are finally back on Exploited. 'Bleeding' features vocal snippets from LA based Human Life. This anthem has been causing massive feedback in their DJ-Sets so far. We hope you like it too. Including also Remixes from The/Das (Life&Death/Krakatau) and Mark E (Spectral Sound/Merc).

Review: Only one listen to the crystal clear rapture in the sound of Bodhi shows the funk influenced take on dance music this young duo have to offer. Olly Howells and Luke Welsby started producing together 2 years ago but ever since they kept on capturing the right attention. Therefore it is no surprise that Exploited picked them up to release three uplifting, warm and modern dance tracks.

Review: Shir Khan's Exploited Records has been running the Black Jukebox label for more than 10 years, pushing music from all kinds of underground deep house producers. Following recent drops from Stefano Ritteri and David Body, next up in the series is Chasse, a Belgian duo previously spotted on Big Bait and Night Shift. This is crisply produced stuff which takes its cues in no uncertain terms from the Chicago and New York Black roots of house music, from the Lately bass thump and insistent piano chord chops of 'Fake Real' to the Larry Heard immersion of 'True Game'.

Review: Compuphonic aka Maxim Firket is a multifaceted producer and DJ from Liege, Belgium, who was raised on a well-balanced diet of classical music, early electronics and industrial variants from Kraftwerk to Front 242, and the revolutionary soundwave that swept over from Detroit, Michigan. Hence, Maxim did not only grow up to become a skillful violoncellist, but also a producer with a unique approach, blending his various sources of inspiration into one intelligent mix of old-school electro, house and minimal stylings.

Nectar Lights
Review: Plus sized house hitmaker DJ Sneak has knocked together his second release for Exploited Records, laying down some serious swing on 3 club tracks which are destined to make dance floors sweat this summer, from Ibiza to points beyond. With Sneak's infamous grill and barbecue sessions in mind the "Night Dish EP" is a proper Doner Kebab and Satay Meal after a heavy night out in Berlin. Featuring artwork by Berlin-based street artist Nomad.

To The Bassline
Review: Love or hate his infamous 'Twitter beefs' there is no denying the legendary status of the house music vanguard DJ Sneak. With 20+ years of DJing and producing under his belt, this is DJ Sneak's first release on Exploited and takes the shape of a collaboration with Murk (Oscar G and Ralph Falcon). Back in 2003 Murk released "Dark Beat" - a track that topped the Billboard Dance charts and became the underground smash of the year. The story goes that a few months ago Exploited asked Sneak for a remix by mail with no reply. After 4 months he suddenly popped up in the Exploited inbox apologizing for lack of reply and said that he finally had some studio time. In the end he sent through some tracks, one of which feature on this 12". This quirky and funky house track (a 10 minute journey) is only the tip of the ice berg though, with two further releases from Sneak promised on the label.

Ask Yourself
Spinning Top
Redondo Beach, CA
Review: With this limited vinyl release Exploited is really spoiling us. Shir Khan's imprint has done much to pick out promising deep house from Europe, with Dutch duo Homework being next in line to make good on their previous appearances and deliver some sturdy deep house. "Ask Yourself" is especially workable with its chunky drums and only occasional distraction via a vocal hook, while "Redondo Beach, CA" in contrast is all about the dreamy, Martyn-esque notes that ring out over yet more of that solid groove. We would suggest that you get stuck into "Spinning Top" with its lolling percussion and meandering musicality if you want to hear something fresh.

Review: Joyce Muniz cut her teeth as a vocalist in her native Vienna during the early 2000s, appearing on countless Stereotyp records, before making her name as a house producer for labels such as 20:20 Vision and Exploited. It's to the latter she's returned on this quietly confident debut album. Mixing woozy, enjoyable house grooves - think powdery, Visionquest style deep house/tech-house hybrids, with the odd darker moment - with vocal contributions from a range of guests (Kat Vinter, Enequist, Human Life and Christa Vi all feature), it's a largely breezy and ear-pleasing concoction. There are few genuine surprises, but enough highlights to suggest that repeat listening will be rewarded.

Back In The Days
Review: Exploited finally unleash Back In The Days, a collaboration between Joyce Muniz and Bam of The Jungle Brothers fame which has been clogging up the request line ever since a certain Richie Hawtin dropped it in his Boiler Room set on Ibiza. Bam's known for dropping verses on hip house cuts over the years, but he sounds just as distinct vocalising a more minimally inclined production too. Kraftwerk fans will probably recognise the sample from "It's More Fun To Compute" that's at the core of "Back In The Days" and Exploited have been granted full approval to use it for this release.

Review: Southern Moon is the first pre single of the upcoming Munk album and comes with remixes by HNNY (Local Talk) and Darius Syrossian (Hot Creations).. With its crisp house beat, funk baseline and beautiful singing of Lizzie Paige this track is a shiny little summersong that makes you think of the great production of Trevor Horn or Masters at Work with a new edge.

Review: Exploited is one of those ever-present labels that have never made big headliners or had breakout anthems, but that's probably helped it stay relevant rather than getting chewed up and spat out by the hype cycle. Label head Shir Khan is back here to present a 36th Black Jukebox EP, with Paul Rudder & Kresy serving up the tunes. Their first collab is warm Euro-centric deep house which then gets remixed by Kresy into a 'Continuum mix.' On the flip side, Rudder goes it alone with another warm, well-designed and catchy house roller in the form of 'Her Dream Road'. This time, Kresy serves up a heady Mellonized mix to close out.

That Raw (feat DJ Amir) (6:49)
Do It (6:46)
If You Want (6:48)
Raw Sax (6:26)
Review: While he may not (yet) be a particularly well-known name, Ralph Session is something of an NYC scene stalwart, both as a DJ and a studio engineer. His first outing on Shir Khan's ongoing 'Black Jukebox' series - the 35th instalment to date - is an assured and club-friendly affair that's big on bold grooves and party-starting flavours. For proof, check chunky, bass-heavy opener 'That Raw', where an undulating synthesiser lead-line, sustained synth-strings and an atmospheric spoken word vocal from DJ Amir catch the ear, and the (sampled) sax-sporting, hands-aloft bounce of 'Do It'. Elsewhere, 'If You Want' is deeper but no less celebratory - think hazy synth stabs, dreamy pads, bouncy bass and cut-up female vocal snippets - while 'Raw Sax' sees him add snaking sax motifs and spacey aural textures to hip-swinging house beats and a raw, stabbing analogue bassline.

Stefano Ritteri - "Robot Love" (2:36)
Review: London-based Italian Stefano Ritteri (Viaggio Recordings) is up next for number 32 of Shir Khan presents Black Jukebox. 'Slow Tripping' is a neon-lit affair, followed by the 'tribal' vibe of 'Donna', a collaboration with Mytron that sounds reminiscent of something legend Bepe Lodda would have played at Typhoon club back in the day. Over on the flip, you've got some dark disco flavour on the moody groove of 'Brutesque' followed by the bittersweet new jack swing of 'Robot Love'.

Jungle George On Acid (4:06)
Dancing In Hong Kong (5:16)
Review: While there's plenty of variety to be found within the Shir Khan-curated Black Jukebox series, you can always rely on the showcased material being club-ready unashamedly party-starting in nature. That's certainly the case with the 30th volume in the series, which sees Romain FX giddily charge between revivalist old-school house cheeriness (the late '80s style Latin house rush of "A Fuego", which lifts tribal-influenced scat style vocals from a familiar favourite), post-freestyle NYC/Miami business (the Latin Rascals-go-house flex of "Western Outlands"), clanking Euro-dance-meets-acid sleaziness ("Jungle Goerge Goes Acid") and jaunty, smile-inducing proto-piano house giddiness (wonderfully cheerful closing cut "Dancing In Hong Kong"). Music that will make you want to throw your hands in the air (like you just don't care).
