Review: Towa Tei debuted as a member of Dee-Lite but has now been a solo artist for some three full decades. He celebrates that milestone with this, Touch, his first ever instrumental solo album and the sequel to his previous album LP at the same time. It is a bristling, energetic mix of rhythms and beats that will get you moving your body in no time. He shows off his pioneering lunge credentials as well as a leftfield take on hip hop and r&b with guests including Haruomi Hosono, Yasuaki Shimizu, Ikuko Harada (clammbon), and Kan Takagi. A brilliant and beguiling work.
