Review: The Harlem Gospel Travelers are back with a new lineup of talents on this new album. The new members bring with them some new sounds and Eli Paperboy Reed is the producer behind it. This is the first full-length as a trio from this band and is all original material with gospel traditions of the '50s and '60s colouring the tunes next to bold songwriting and resilient messages. Dazzling vocal arrangements are peppered with gritty guitar and plenty of crunchy breaks to make for a record that touches on the pandemic, anxiety and so much more.

Review: Max I Million has said of his new instrumental album, Uncut Gems, on indie label Coalmine Records, that he took it as a dance to get back to basics. That is, straight up hip hop rather than some of the more jazz, funk and electronic leaning cuts of recent times. The results are high class, with sketchy, hazy beats like 'It's All Gravy' a nice counter to the more crisp boom bap of 'Dopest Ghost In Town' and empty ambient minimalism of 'Let Em Know.' nice to ice cold grooves that could play for days, there is real emotion in the likes of 'Cold Blooded' that help elevate this above mere beat tape standard.
