Review: Talented artiste Gui Boratto makes his first outing on German Boxer Recordings alongside Extrawelt with Tuning 08. Gui's "Half Life" comes remixed by Frenchman Patrick Chardonnet; a punchy tech-house track on first appearance, "Half Life" beholds cracking sounds, sweeping brush strokes and big room chord reverb that unfolds into a warm and brooding vibe. On the flip, "Vorsprung Durch Hektik" from Extrawelt gets reworked by exceptional German producer Dominik Eulberg. Riding of a penetrating bass line, Eulberg's plethora of idisyncratic sonic touches are crisp and sharp, warped and arranged to perfection for an eye opening journey.

Review: Dear friends of Boxer Sport. Our emotions are hopping mad. After almost a year, Andre Dalcan & his buddy Greg Delon (aka Delon & Dalcan), the driving forces behind Scandium, are back on Boxer Sport with fresh stuff for your turntables, "Freaky Under My Skin". The remix comes from Martin Eyerer. A slick, rocking track that will make Odin swing his mace deep down into the hell of bass.

Review: With a distinctive wonky hookline and fat dubby bassline, 'Unde' by Italy's Duoteque rolls along lazily as the third track of the sampler. Differing from a lot of their earlier productions, this EP shows how versatile this outfit can be as this track really shows off their summer feel. Second on the second sampler is another new hot producer from South America, Seph. Highlighted here is the track 'Bats' which as its title suggests has haunting melodies and atmospherics over a crisp energetic groove. A cheeky closing track to the EP that can be played at any time of the night depending on yours and the dancefloors mood!!! Attic (Leftroom's alter ego of Chris and Antony of Glimpse recordings) are up first with their track 'Keep in Touch'. Chris and Antony's work has been finding favour with DJs across the globe most notably Magda and Troy Pierce, and this track is sure to do the same. With its warped vocal samples and eerie atmospherics, this jerkily arranged track, shows off their quality production ability. Finishing off part 2 of the package is rising-producer Barem and '6am'. Barem has been building quite a reputation with releases on labels such as Minus and Found Sound and this track is true to form. Punchy snares and kicks all the way over a throbbing minimal groove, with simple yet effect drops and structure, achieve full dancefloor effect. Label support from Luciano, Craig Richards, Magda, Troy Pierce, Kiki, Matthew Dear, Lee Burridge, Ralph Lawson, Paul Woolford.

Review: While his early work throbbed with minimal techno intensity, Italian producer Dusty Kid has spent the last couple of years developing a signature sound that owes as much to classic prog house as it does to booming, Berlinian tech. Beyond That Hill, his second album, further explores this fusion, crafting glistening epics that combine the melody-driven emotional resonance of prog with the chunky, hypnotic back end of techno. There are diversions along the way - see the jangling guitars of "Chentu Mizas" or the uncompromising loop techno of "Polybolo" - but Dusty Kid is at his best when concentrating on form rather than function, as the decidedly epic, 23-minute closer "That Hug" beautifully proves.

Review: This is the 2nd release by Paul after a 3 year break. Starting from the smashing trance hit "Sleeping", to the staccato-like track "Western" and the pure dance floor burner "Svell", all three tracks prove that Paul has finally arrived in 2006. Zinedine Zidane retires, but Paul Nazca is back! A Great deal!
