Review: The newly minted Wilson imprint come brandishing a steadfastly enthusiastic keep vinyl alive approach, warning people on their site to "play it on vinyl or don't play it" and their debut release shows an equal respect for the true production values founded in Chicago and Detroit. The Underground Warriors EP pairs the old and trusted with the new and exciting as respected producers Alex Agore and Washerman share space with the upcoming Italian duo Fabio Monesi and Luca Ballerini. Naturally the contributions from the Berlin dwelling Agore and Swiss producer Washerman demonstrate a clear level of accomplishment, with the former's "Stalker" dripping with emotive intent. Don't discount the tracks from the lesser known duo however with "Momma' Groove" from Monesi an excellent drum machine workout complemented by oven warm pads.

Review: Hudd Traxx 3rd installment of their 10th Anniversary series comes from Eddie Leader, Hector Moralez, Washerman, Brett Johnson & Rhythm Plate. Label owner Eddie Leader delivers a deep & moody house groover with the slick vocals of long time Hudd Artist Hector Moralez, aptly title 'Way Back'. Washerman picks the pace up with 'Twilite', which is reminiscent of legendary Detroit label Underground Resistance, and adds to the continued diversity of this project. Brett Johnson's 'Mr Smarty Pants' is re-released after gaining plays from the likes of Laurent Garnier and an edit by Dyed Soundorom. Closing out the EP are 2 of the most underrated Producers in the business; Rhythm Plate. 'Keep Moving' was Overshadowed by 'Inside Me' on the 'Robbin Hudd EP' in 2007 but is given it's time to shine on 'Now & Then Part 3' and is a fine addition to the 10 Year celebrations.

Review: Washerman is back. Rough, raw and armed to groove. Have mercy, as the resistance of the lost poets has just begun, before we face the blank city we shout out to the holy drum!

Review: Swiss based Italian DJ Gianni Siravo has been slipping out house music in one form or another for a good few years now, most recently as part of Azuni (fans of Boe and Quintessentials will recognise the name). Undergoing a solo studio endeavour as Washerman, Siravo gets off to a flier with the double drop Kutz From The Basement EP for the Zurich label Drumpoet Community. As you'd expect from the title, the Washerman sound is focused on no nonsense house music primed for exposure in basement spaces. The simmering euphoria of A Side track "Basement Chord" is tempered brilliantly by the inherent dark, murky tones of flipside track "Basement Dub".

Review: Swiss based Italian DJ Gianni Siravo continues to excel under his recently established Washerman alias, with an appearance on the newly minted Saft imprint following a superlative drop for Drumpoet earlier in 2012. Whilst that releases focused on no nonsense booming warehouse sounds, the three track Deeper For Me approaches matters from a slightly more classical deep house angle (as you'd expect from the title) Opening track "Just A Touch" hogs the A Side with one of those thick punchy grooves reminiscent of 90s US garage but its complemented by vast washes of subaqueous melody that lend the track some contemporary feeling. On the flip, "Deep Feelin" is rhythmically more clipped, lead by a nagging vocal under tone and slick percussive embellishments that keep you on your toes, whilst Washerman playfully drops drunken keys on top. Finally "Mellow Go" stays true its title, with the straight groove deep in the mix as the woozy keys and incandescent chords are allowed centre stage to work their magic.

Review: Quality deep house labels aren't hard to come by these days, meaning the fledgling Deep Down Slam Records has its work cut out for it, but given the strength of this first release the label should have no problems establishing themselves. The A-side features the talents of rising house producer Washerman, whose jam "Tell Me" kicks things off in a 90s New Jersey house style, but one filled with a contemporary production nuance that makes it stand out amongst the crowd, while "Come Closer" offers a similar cut with good time chords which owe a considerable debt to French touch house. On the flip, No Matter What don James Johnston provides two expectedly thumping house cuts; "The Music" combines belting piano chords with rubbery strings that pull you in deep, while the tribal feel of "On The Ground" is accented by some alluring Motor City melodies.

Review: For the fourth opus on his self-titled label, Kool Vibe calls on the service of talented Washerman, Sunny Galaxy & Inner Sense to deliver 4 tracks with deep, garage & groovy overtones which are definitely meant for the dance floor . One aim ever: paying tribute to Jersey, NYC & Chicago vibes of the 90's. Special mention: the collaboration of Aaron Smith, the legendary remixer/producer and former member of UBQ Project duet alongside Terry Hunter, with a groovy keyboard solo on Inner Sense's "4 Aaron & Terry" track.
